If it rains you get soaked.

Simple as that.

Not sure what the purpose of the roof actually is.

I used to have a season ticket in there. I moved partly because I was getting soaked whenever it rained....

It’s that poorly covered, that you’ll get wet even when it doesn’t rain.

The back ten rows of the longside upper and Jimmy mac upper are prob the only places on either of those two stands that you’ll have a chance of staying dry.

Cricket field and Bob Lord stand are the only two options if staying dry is important.

Since the corners were filled it's not too bad, particularly the back 4 or 5 rows.

Dress like you're going up everest in there and then put one of those free rain covers on top as well.

It's each to their own, but I've never understood the appeal either. You get soaked and it's a poor view.

Nothing wrong with the view. I was on the back row of the lower tier for the women's match and it was a very good view. Basically it depends whether you like behind the goal. (Lower seats may not be as good, of course.)

As for the rain, if they wanted it to be dry, they should have faced it the other way. It's impossible to build a roof to stop the wind driving the rain through an open side of a building. When it rains and blows, the front rows get wet - it's a fact of life. (They could have sloped it downwards a bit like the Bob Lord stand, because obviously the lower the roof at the front, the less far the rain can blow back) but they couldn't have made it rainproof.

I have just moved from the Jimmy Mac lower row J which is situated behind the disabled ramp. The view is terrible and would not advise sitting anywhere near there.I personally never got wet I came off at 5-0 against Arsenal due to the rain starting to get heavy and I missed the Brighton game but my Grandson informed me he got soaked

The one and only time my wife has been to Turf Moor we sat in there, soaked and freezing, 0-0 v Derby County in about 2003/4. A completely featureless game devoid of atmosphere. She has not campaigned to go again.

Yea, but how often does it actually rain in Burnley on a match day?...
OK, fair enough I'll get my coat

I did sit in there but moved last season. In all honesty there were some absolute numpties sat near me that made it unbearable at times.

Sure it's the case everywhere but these were particularly bad.

I moved to James Hargreaves lower, better view and lucky to be sitting around some great people.

I sit on the seventh row from the front of the Longside upper and have only occasionally got wet.

From my view in the Bob Lord, I would guesstimate that when it rains you will get wetter than you do on Valhalla at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

This.

It’s my first time in that stand this season (had to move seats to accommodate an extra season ticket for my lad) and the view isn’t great and you do get wet through.

On the plus side, you’re almost within touching distance of the players, so there’s a fair bit of player/fan interaction that goes on.

Great for reminiscing. On a cold wet day, large parts of the lower tier are almost like being on the old Bee Hole End, but sat down, not standing up.

On the plus side, it's the cheapest option for season tickets. I'm sorry but I must be far more stupid than some of the clever s*d's on this forum for not having as much disposable income as them. That's why I go in there. Only time I've got seriously wet in there this season is towards the end of the Brighton game. True, the view isn't the best when the play is down the other end, but it's not as bad as people think. Also I've some good friends, old and new, in there and we have a bit of a community spirit. Forza Jimmy Mac Ultras!

A fair bit of rain came down near the end of that game!
I remember saying to my brother “ I bet those poor sods with less disposable income than us are getting soaked in the Jimmy Mac lower”.

We sit at the back row before the hospitality bit, middle of the goal and love it………………only when it’s absolutely tipping down do we get soaked but generally the wind drives the rain across from Bob Lord stand to JH……………

It doesn’t matter where we sit or how much money we have got. The important thing is we are all clarets and at Turf Moor.
I couldn’t sit in JM lower anyway regardless of my budget. My eyesight is failing and if we scored or conceded at Cricket Field end the only clue I would have is that I would see the net fluffing. Not much else.

The last time I sat in one of the lower stands (James Hargreaves)City Banged us 6-1 and it poured down all the game but I stuck it out till the end not a good day and I havnt been in a lower tier since, think it might not sure even one of the players buggered off home at half time, not a good day but those new stands with the lower tiers are not fit for purpose

Ah, the infamous 101 Club incident.

I buggered off myself at half time which is a rare event.

"Call it off, call it off..." sang the Burnley fans.
"This pitch is dangerous..."

Despite the awful result, it was hilarious in the stadium that day.
