I would like to see Mark Robins at the club

Great motivator and done magnificent last few seasons, earned his stripes and even had to ground share at one stage.
Lost Gyokeres and Hamer end of last season (where could coventry have been if they had them this season ?) and still finished just outside play offs and unlucky not to be in fa cup final.
Got experience and ready for his next challenge IMHO.

Only wearing the number 9 shirt. He can’t be worse than what we have up front.

To hopefully get a squad of players to perform better than what they are ? With season ticket rises next season could get toxic very quickly depending on the start - were outclassed this season but it definitely will be a results based job from the get go next season.

It might turn out that 26 points with a decent goal difference would have been good enough to survive this season that's food for thought when plenty on here were quoting "will comfortably be mid table" 🤔

He should stay at Coventry and aim for mid table obscurity or maybe tout him out to Leeds for the same reason.

Good call...or David Moyes if West Ham do anything stupid ...over £100 million was spent on utter rubbish ...take away the ponts deduction and we are nowhere near ...It says it all that Berge was the best signing .. very few goals; assists, tackles ..and lorded by some to be a midfield maestro ...no defence and no attack ...

this was a game that had to be won and Newcastle could easily have scored 10 ...

how on earth can we let more transfer funds be given to VK ...

£100 million on utter rubbish ...are you on the wine .....pardon the spelling on names but i dont see esteve ,koleasho, odebert ,ekdhal, oshea as rubbish .
rubbish was the **** we watched in the 80s and 90s , i do think people on here forget were we came from , we are not a big city club and are continuing to punch way above our heads.
some of the loan signings havnt shinedill give you that ,but they can go back at end of season and we re group and go again.
the gap between the championship and lower level of premier league is huge , you need that bit of luck to stay up and then move on from there .

There's no career record to suggest that Robins would be any better than Kompany. The latter had one amazing season at Championship level, then splurged more money than any Burnley manager has ever had in one disastrous PL campaign. I'm thinking the Board will give him the benefit of the doubt and expect good things at Championship level next season.
The interesting bit will involve managing the £100m plus outlay (investment?) on young players to ensure that the club doesn't make a substantial loss.

Yep, we may find out that he's really not that good when we play them at TM next season...
because that's the only time we're likely to see him at the club :D

What has Robins ever achieved? 1 play off spot finish in how many Championship seasons? 10?

And you want him to replace a man with 100+ points in his only season?

Some of you lot really deserve failure

I have some knowledge on this matter, and trust me, Vincent Kompany is a better bet ....

There’s nothing at all to suggest that Mark Robins is or will be a better manager than Vincent Kompany.

Let’s see how we start next season first.

Another example of some who pine for the ‘good old days’ and here to remind us how thankful we should be to be at the top table.

Plucky Burnley punching above our weight and so on…

Its boring.

David Moyes isn’t coming anywhere near Championship Burnley, and nor should he.

He’s every ounce an established Premier League manager.

Sure, we've been poor this season but to swap a manager who won the Championship, playing scintillating football and only losing three times along the way... with someone who's won nothing while implementing a different style to the one the club is geared towards would be... well... a bit daft.

Unless he puts together a team with an experienced spine, next season will be no walkover.

But also true ! Losing 0-6 at home to Hereford in front of 1,961 fans in January 1987 in the 4th tier was once a reality ...

It's called " perspective " ...

You’re not wrong, that wasn’t pretty. But, those times have gone!

Newcastle aren’t living their Hereford nightmares out, why should we?

This thread clearly shows why a lot of the fan base are ******* clueless when it comes to football. Hopefully vk can block it out but for us fans it’s ******* unbareable
