Win at Spurs, Forest draw and we’re gone.

Then the chaos begins…

I think it will be over today in the PL.

We’ll however be favourites to come back up next season

I was there at Ewood when we won the league and I’m going to be there today at Spurs for what looks to be the inevitable relegation confirmed…

Unless…

Nah, it can’t happen…

Can it…?

Hope they make a game of it today but can’t see the win.

Doesn’t matter either way, we’ll support them forever more.

Very likely game over today as regards the cesspit that is the Prem.

All credit to Vincent Kompany etc for getting us there in such style and I believe they will get us back up after next season and we will then make a much better go of it then UTC.

If Spurs play like they did in the last 20 minutes at Anfield last Sunday then yes today will be our day of destiny. Play like they did in the first 70 mins, you never know. As a former Spurs great once said 'football's a funny old game'.

Tottenham have missed out on 4th place and are in danger of missing out on 5th spot as well should they slip up this afternoon, as they have Manchester City up next week. Both teams have to go for it this afternoon.

We all know that we'll turn in our best performance of the season today and take it into the final weekend. We also know that having got ourselves into position to stay up, we'll probably be 3-0 down after fifteen minutes next Sunday.

Who is going to score the 3 or 4 goals that we will need to win ?

I know we will be gone but never thought the way we were going that it would take to game 37 to relegate us

there are some interesting new coaches in the Championship - particularly at Sheffield Wednesday and OPR

only 1 of Leeds, Southampton, West Brom and Norwich will not be there and Luton in particular are likely to be stronger than when they were promoted

We’ll either get a fluke 1-2 or we’re in for a likely hammering 4-0. Either way yes it would be nice to stay up but we need a proper sort out of players, we’ve too many, of which several are not good enough to step up.

There was nothing in last week’s performance to suggest anything other than a defeat will happen today, unfortunately.

You're clueless when it comes to football. It's not your game. I'm also not convinced you're a burnley fan. Not a single post in 883 that is pro-Burnley.

I am pro Burnley, I am not pro Kompany.

I think he’s arrogant, too stubborn, and way out of his depth as a football manager at this point in his career.

You’re right, football isn’t ‘my’ game, slowly riding bikes was, but it’s there for all to see, I just saw it sooner than you will.

I don’t mind a manager learning his trade, but not a manager who refuses to change to meet the challenge in front of them.

24 points after 37 games. We deserve to go down. Glad to see the players go over to the fans at the end. Fans deserve acknowledgment that it's been nowhere near good enough all season.

Bring on the Championship.

I understand your frustration, but I think during the season he had to back himself. Lessons should be taken over the summer… if they are not then, then and only then can some of your criticism be seriously justifiable. There are times when he’s been too entrenched this season I would agree. As I said he now has time to reflect on his own performance, this season… and like all of us whatever our career make good judgements about how he could and should adapt better in future.

I don’t disagree with you, but for me to buy into that, I have to be able to see that process being undertaken.

It’s obvious that it wasn’t working, so why not change something, ANYTHING. He never once has shown that he’s learning from what’s gone before. His brand of arrogant football might work at City and other top six clubs, but doesn't with teams below that very high water line.

Any other profession, and football is unique granted, he pays with his job.

Players unhappy, squad unhappy = relegation.

I’ve yet to see any valid reasoning as to how he picks this squad up from the floor and convinces them he’s the man to lead them back up. He’s dropped the core that delivered that for him.

Lazy arguments of ‘they’re pros’ and ‘they get paid don’t they’ don’t hold water.

Given we all 'knew' back in October, if not September, that we weren't cutting it at this level - from the manager and coaches or the team, we have done well to drag out our death throes until gameweek 37. I realise that not all the players need to take a look at themselves, but there are several who struggled to adapt to the relentless physicality and skillsets of the Premier League.

To be fair to VK and AP I think they upped their game in the January window. Fofana was a punt that looked like a master-stroke, sadly he seemed to decide pretty quickly he was not up for it.

I absolutely agree it has not been a happy squad… that happens when things are not going well and there are too many players who are of a muchness. One or two gems can make a world of difference improving confidence, but they don’t grow on trees and we cannot afford to buy world beaters, we need to develop them. We lacked an out ball for far too long this season.

We need intelligence on the pitch, if Vinnies plan is not working defy him on the field. Don’t accept it, show him. Barnes would have helped massively in the dressing room… but let’s not forget some of the geniuses on her wanted him out of the squad on and off (according to dips in form) for years
