Down and out

Relegation confirmed. It was never going to be anything else.
Even with all of the applied points deductions we could not take advantage as we were so far adrift. Everton could have a further nine points deducted for possible administration and it would make no difference to BFC. What a total shambles.
Inept and naive performances from many squad players, along with a very bloated and inept management team with little clue about game management, and an inept ownership who still do not understand the role football has played in the history of the town of Burnley or even football at all, along with the passion it creates amongst supporters. Their approach to financial management is very much smoke and mirrors and does not engender confidence for the future existence of the club.
In response to the lasting legacy thread of ALK in January 2022, I stated that their legacy would be relegation, substantial debt and flashing lights. We are now back on track and heading downwards after the very fortunate blip of a promotion in what was a very poor Championship league.
Hopefully ALK may decide to cut their potential small losses soon and ride off into the sunset before chaos and further debt ensues. Plenty of interest in the wings, but alas a heavy stench of stubbornness pervading throughout Turf Moor. I feel a situation is developing which could be increasingly damaging to the club, the people's club, the town's only former jewel in what has become a very tarnished crown.
Going back to the mass signings and reveals over the two windows of January 23 and August 23 where incoming players were stating how excited they were at the prospect of being developed by VK to become better players ( it became the regular PR mantra at the club), some must now be totally disillusioned at the outcome of either being loaned out or ignored.
What a dreadful and embarrassing season with what appears to be no accountability at any level. The supporters deserve far better.
