It’ll 100% be Trafford in goal, unless we sell him or Liam him out.

Trafford and Ramsey will deffo be in the starting line up imo, and maybe tresor, all player's that vk is adamant on bringing into the team going forward imo.

Yep fair enough. Ramsey for JBL and Trafford for Muric. I think that would mean selling Muric and potentially not taking the option on JBL.

I think Berge, Brownhill, Esteve, Odobert and JBL are unlikely to be here next season. So, I'd go with the above without Esteve.
Clearly, decent but whether promotion winning material I'm not sure, particularly, if you lost Cullen or Foster.

What makes you think Esteve won’t be here?
The COO specifically said Esteve signed on the basis of being here next season regardless of division.

Over £200 million worth of creditors. £50 million loss of parachute money and forwarded parachute monies spent.
I also think he has shown himself to be good enough in the PL and will want a move away.
Why would someone of his ability want to play in the Championship?

Personally I think he'll stay.
It will have been discussed at some length when he signed and it was always likely in January that we'd be in the Championship next season.

Or possibly more of a 4-51 given Messengo is quite young with Ramsey playing a little forward of the other 4 when required, which is where he seems to have done much of his good work this season from what I have seen.
I think I'll probably change my mind on this throughout the summer. Not a lot of experience there...

He's good enough to play in any top league in Europe and he's also likely facing a 50 per cent pay cut.
I think his agent will likely be on the phone as we speak... or type.

Something like:

Vitinho
O’Shea
Esteve /Beyer (one sold)
AN Other
Cullen
Ramsey
Amdouni
Koleosho
Zaroury

I'd be amazed if Berge or Brownhill is here. Berge is our great hope for a profitable sale and we will need a couple, and this is our last chance to sell Brownhill for cash so unless he signs a new contract and we keep him as someone to build a stable core around, he's off.
Amdouni may well go but there's talent there and I think he's the someone who may well enhance his reputation with a strong season in the Championship. You can say the same for Tresor but I can't see us keeping both.
Something to work with there. Add some canny experience and presence in midfield (someone like Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth, ex Rovers who is out of favour or Sam Field from QPR who is on a free and we've looked at before), a physical centre forward and a left back and that looks OK to me.

I highly doubt Zaroury and Benson will be here next season. Why would they want to help get us promoted just be pushed out of the team again? They'll both be out the door. Can see Muric leaving too but hopefully not.
Best scenario IMO would be:
Muric
NEW RB
O'shea
Esteve
NEW LB
Berge
Cullen
Koleosho
Odobert
Brownhill
Foster
Keeping hold of Berge would be massive but I think he'll be back in the Premier League. Amdouni will be off, which I'm not too bothered about.
Koleosho and Odobert in the Championship would be very very difficult to defend against.

I was thinking about Berge this morning and I think he'll stay, as he did with Sheff Utd when they went down a few years ago.
Was trying to think who would be interested in him (from the PL) and I'm not sure who would take him.
Would be a big bonus if we kept him.

Beyer struggled with everyone else when he was fit, but there's a top player in there. He was unbelievable in the championship last time around, possibly the best I've seen for us at that level. The way he took players out of the game running into CM created a lot of opportunities for us. I hope he stays

I'd be astonished. I think there will likely be takers from here and abroad and if we don't sell him then we probably need to sell at least two others to raise the same cash.

He's been in the English game a few years now and doesn't seem to have had many suitors so I wouldn't be too surprised if he was retained.
He's just hitting his prime now and would be massive for us next season.
I'd be more than happy to sell two, even three others (depending on who they were) to keep him as I believe that he'd more than pay for himself.

I don't know how much cash we would raise because I doubt we bought him up front....!
But agree he has been consistently as good as anything on the pitch this season outside the top 6.

If we lineup with this as our spine:
---------Muric
-----O'Shea-Esteve
-----Cullen-Berge
+ hopefully Koleosho makes a return to full fitness, hopefully keep hold of Odobert and I'd like to see JBL sign permanently.
The rest not too fussed about either way.
Vitinho of course as our modern day DiBranchio (goes without saying).
Bring it on, #UTC.

Muric is essential if we are serious of getting promoted first time asking … he was in the team of the season last year so would make sense to put him in goals … i would have thought that was obvious

The thread was based on who do you 'hope' to see. I hope all three stay but think you might be right. I'd really like to see how Odobert and Koleosho could do in the same team against some of these Championship sides but reckon Odobert is the more likely to leave. Someone must be ready to take a punt on him although he wasn't cheap when we signed him. Hoping Koleosho's injury might put people off coming in for him for now.
Re: Assignon. I heard the same initially, sounds like there's no agreement in place to sign him if we're relegated, unlike Esteve. But no reason we can't try to sign him without a prior agreement if he's willing to stick around.

Is the Esteve deal 100% happening? I haven’t seen anything official and I just can’t see us spending that type of money on a CB for the championship (could be wrong).
From a business point of view it would be financial suicide not to start Trafford. If we are looking to get a remote return on our investment then he has to start in the championship. I personally think Muric will be off to turkey for 5-6m

Impossible to know who is staying and who is going. Berge only left Sheff utd because he was in final year of his contract so he may well stay. A few thinking Massengo may be good enough to step up - not sure what that's based on personally! Up top is my main concern - our current crop are a combination of unrelaibly fragile, not good enough, past their best and not ready.
Be amazed if Twine doesn't come back into the reckoning personally - seems to have been the most successful of our loaned out players at the level we will be playing
