He hasn’t spoke to the Express. They’ve just used his comments from his social media.

I don’t think Pace has spoken to the Express, they’ve just quoted his social media posts.

All I take from that is calling themselves the Burnley Express is an insult to the journalists who went before. Two lines at a time taken from social media split by a dozen adverts is not a local newspaper, reporting local sport.

You’re right. I’m one of those journalists. But times change, unfortunately for the worse in many cases

The idea for the League of Gentleman came from one of the writers growing up in Water, Rossendale. Must admit I laughed out loud when I heard him interviewed, my experience of the village in years past too. Last time I visited the commercial if there was a piano player stopped mid tune and tumbleweeds blowing outside as I entered, I would not have been the least surprised.

And that's what the Burnley Express is now - they pluck out a line from social media and have people believe that someone has spoken to them.

Even if they have extracted it from social media it'll still benefit some people especially the older generation who aren't technically savvy & can't be bothered with social media & prefer the old fashioned way of buying the local paper. It doesn't matter where it comes from as long as the message gets out & people are informed.

why didnt he run his comments passed this message board before releasing them. Not acceptable.
