ust a heads up for those that would like to join us for tonight's quiz. I know there's Premier League footy, world championship snooker and its a Bank Holiday but I hope people will find time to join in and do the quiz.

Same format as usual although Ive added in a picture round (again subject to me mastering the technological challenges) and lots of extra points available for those that are quick off the mark.

I will post the questions on this thread at 9pm and then its everyone for themselves.

To play you must be logged in to Up the Clarets / Beehole End and type in your answers as a comment on the thread putting the QUESTION NUMBER followed by your ANSWER (ie 1k Paul Stewart)

Just fire in your answers as soon as you spot one you know. If you take time to read all the questions before typing in your answers it is most likely others will have beaten you to it.

SOME people have requested the following:-

For those that prefer to do the quiz in their own time simply read the questions posted at 9pm and write down your answers on a sheet and give yourself a mark after I’ve posted the answers after 10-15pm.

If you do this please let me know your scores on the doors and any comments (even if it’s a day or two after) as it encourages me to spend time preparing the quiz.

I will be issuing a rating level based upon the points attained for those doing the quiz in their own time. I know people can google and mark their own sheets - no problem for me it’s just a bit of fun.

6 Who Am I? (7 POINTS in total) TOUGH ONE THIS WEEK

I was born in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire in 1970 and was initially on the books of Arsenal but didn’t play a first team game at Highbury before a transfer to Nottingham Forest in 1989. I appeared twice at Wembley for Forest in the Zenith Data Systems Final and again in the League Cup final where he received a runners-up medal. Later in my career I was to make a name for myself at Wrexham where I played in over a hundred games and won a full international cap after qualifying to play for Wales. This was after previously playing for England schoolboys.
Similar to other “Who Am I?” players my appearances for Burnley were limited but I was a crowd favourite and in my final game for the Clarets I was carried off at shoulder height by my adoring fans.
