Most people I think maybe expecting Southampton to go through to meet Leeds in the final.
Baggies will be hoping for a good performance though.
Might be tight, going for 1-0 Saints.

I think Southampton are the likeliest of the two that can beat Leeds although I expect Leeds to go all the way.

Southampton did the double over Leeds this season. Leeds fans will no doubt be hoping WBA can spring a surprise.

Saints 'should' win but I never really fancy Martin to set up a team to be able to defend no matter how much of the ball they have.

Little mention for Burnley earlier.
Southampton have put extra advertising boards in to try and stop the run up for the long throw.
Commentator referenced our failed attempt to do the same against Stoke and Rory Delap.

Don't think we need to worry about playing Leeds next season, can't see either of these teams laying a glove on 'The biggest club in the world'.

WBA look there to be beaten
But Southampton have no end product

Just as dull as the 1st leg - whoever wins will get beat by Leeds at Wembley

Complete fodder in the premier league for either these if promoted. Leeds will probably spend some cash to give them a fighting chance.

and despite being very good for us he couldn't get back in our side after he got injured and not a single team went near him at the 15 million City wanted. Unless you've not been watching, the difference between the Championship and the PL is massive, he played in our cup game away at Man United and didn't look anywhere near the level at that point. Not saying he won't get there but I can absolutely see why we didn't spend 15 million on him

Some think we’ve brought in players in that position as good as him, not me, his long range passing would have helped us and I too thought we’d sign him.

I really rated him. He was a good leader for a young player and more importantly actually wanted to play for us. Real potential on the field, maybe not as much on the profit and loss sheet which just about sums us up.

Very wrong - I loved his long range passing but he got done numerous times in behind and in the air. Is what it is; O'Shea and Esteve are miles more complete defenders.

I’m not so sure they are more complete. They lack some real key strengths that I think THB has, his leadership and passing was something I think our backline missed dramatically this season.

I like both O’Shea and Esteve but I don’t either are leaders and. Either of them made me think they we exceptional on the ball (which I found strange given our tactic was to play out from the back at all costs).

I really don’t think it’s as straight forward as some make out.

THB is good player and I think he would have definitely given us something like current lads haven’t.

O'Shea is definitely a leader! Was captain at West Brom at 22....

Our tactic isn't just to play out at all costs, it is to squeeze the pitch with a high line and turn the ball over nearer to the oppositions goal so that we can be in on goal quickly. To do so in an aggressive manner requires very athletic defenders and a really good sweeper keeper.

In the Champ we got away with THB & Beyer because we retained possession more effectively in the opposition's half and teams didn't break on us as often as the Prem, though when it did happen we did give chances up - prob our biggest weakness in that Champ year.

Look at the goals (off the top of my head) that Hull scored against us at home 1-1 when THB was absolutely burned in behind and I believe one or two of the goals against Rotherham.

O'Shea and Esteve have gotten much better and defending in space running back to goal are actually very good at it - and it's one of the hardest things to do in football.

Have to pick up on this

Coming back from injury, he played six of the last nine games
Watch that United game back, Beyer was the one that looked nowhere near the level that night

My observations from last night

Didn't think Southampton were that good
West Brom were almost as bad as Norwich the night before
Tim Robinson, the referee, had a dreadful game

Other than that, I enjoyed it.
