Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric 6 - could do nothing about the goals
Assignon 5 - part of a crap first half
O’Shea 5 - had no idea where Wood was for the 1st
Esteve 7 - felt like he won most duels
Taylor 4 - set the tone being skinned after 1 minute
Odobert 7* - tried to create and looked most likely
Berge 5 - not enough umph today
Cullen 6 - plus 1 for a goal
Larsen 4 - has zero ability 1 on 1 so ineffective today
Amdouni 3 - diff player to the one in the reverse fixture
Foster 5 - see above, out of form but still put the effort in
Vitinho 4 - 0 goals 0 assists, 30 appearances
JBG 7 - got the ball in the box.
The early goal killed us as we struggle to break down low blocks and that’s nothing new. Likes of Larsen are completely ineffective in this type of game as you need some 1 on 1 threat. Bizarre we didn’t see Benson or Tresor in this one. In the end disappointing but I’m still optimistic for next season.

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric – 7 a couple of very good saves. Otherwise had little to do other than pick the ball out the net twice
Assignon – 4 – body language wasn’t great. Long since gone.
Esteve – 5 – the pick of the defence but still didn’t look comfortable.
O’Shea – 4 – may have had money on Wood getting a hattrick
Taylor – 4 – beaten way too easily for the first goal
Vitinho – 5 – more energy but no more end product and should be forbidden from shooting.
Odobert – 5 – plenty of effort but for next-to-no gain.
Cullen – 4 – passing was very poor
Berge – 5 – went thru the motions. Concern is if that was his last performance.
Amdouni 3 – even by his standards was disinterested. Concern is that was NOT his last performance. Has to go.
Foster – 4 – hard to mark him with the service. A shadow of the player we saw terrorize Villa.
Bruun Larsen – 4 – rightly subbed at HT. I don’t want to see wingers constantly checking back especially 1 v 1.
JBG – 6 – provided some spark.
A wretched performance that epitomized a wretched season.

Absolutely horrific. Right up there with the worst we’ve seen this season. The standards in training and dressing room cliques are clearly a massive concern. The manager hasn’t had a grip on it all season and we need a fresh start heading into next season.

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric 6 - couldn’t really do anything with the goals, at least tries to be progressive and get us moving, which is more you can say for some of the others
Assignon 4 - nah, he can go
O'Shea 5 - didn’t look great for that first goal
Esteve 6 - did ok
Taylor 5 - see O’Shea. Is limited at this level.
Odobert 5 - again, I don’t see it. Loses the ball cheaply
Berge 6 - at least shows for it and tries to make things happen
Cullen 6 - industrious enough
Bruun Larsen 4 - what does he bring to the team that JBG doesn’t? Another I wouldn’t be devastated to see leave
Amdouni 4 - looks utterly devoid of confidence
Foster 5 - slightly better link up but still pretty ineffective
Vitinho 5 - effort, no quality
JBG 6 - at least got on the ball and tried to effect things
Forest knew exactly what to expect from us - ineffective possession football - so set up accordingly. Let us have it for as long as we want, nick it and kill us on the break. So utterly predictable. A busy summer ahead.

Assignon 3 - I’m sorry, but this bloke is dreadful.
Esteve 5 - at least blocked a few shots. Awful for the first goal
O’Shea 5 - some good, some woeful. Switched off again.
Odobert 4 - wouldn’t have produced a decent final pass or cross if we’d have played until Tuesday.
Bruun Larsen 4 - head down, running into a brick wall. Never looked like creating anything.
Berge 5 - ponderous
Cullen 5 - slowed us down to a walking pace.
Amdouni 3 - be happy if I never see him in a Burnley shirt again. Woeful.
Foster 3 - my god. Pitiful performance.
Vitinho 4
Gudmundsson 6* - best outfield player and he’s being released on a free. Shows exactly where we are.

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
On Vitinho, i’m struggling to think of a player with such poor end product. He has some great qualities but he’s just lacking in vital areas.
Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
A truly woeful performance against a side with both feet firmly on the beach. Embarrassing. How Foster has played another full game is truly baffling - if he was in a different postcode to his team mates against Newcastle, he was in another county today.
Defenders who can't defend. Strikers that don't want to go in the box. Bizarre

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric - 6 Very little to do apart from picking the ball out of the net.
Assignon - 3 Get rid
Esteve - 5 Not his best today but there is a base of a half decent player.
O’Shea - 5 Same as Esteve. Hopefully a full preseason together will iron out some of their deficiencies.
Taylor - 4 Can’t see him hanging around. Poor game for me.
Odobert - 4 Loses the ball so easily and was culpable for the Forest 2nd goal
Berge - 6 Tried his best but had absolutely no movement in front of him and it just ended up being crab like
Cullen - 6 Similar to Berge but we have been better with him in the team.
JBL - 4 I’m very much on the fence if I want him to stay. Pretty anonymous today.
Amdouni - 3 Get rid
Foster - 3 Did a fantastic job as a statue today. More movement in a sloth.
Vitinho - 3 Get rid
JBG - 5 Real shame that he is off but loved what he did for my team.
Brownhill - 4 Hopefully get some money for him now they’ve enforced the contract extension.
Jay Rod - 5 Another who’s given our and his team some of the best years. Obviously nothing has been announced but I don’t expect him to stay.
That was a such a tough watch but I suppose we should be used to it after the season we’ve had. Thank heavens this season is over.

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
An absolute non-event between and already relegated side who clearly just wanted the season to end and a team who have spent a fortune but still had to cheat to reach the heady heights of... 17th. No doubts whatsoever that forest will blow another fortune this summer and still be fighting relegation next season.
The contrast between the game at the city ground and this one was huge; just shows how those big, wrong decisions can make a big difference. Not saying we'd have stayed up but for that at all but you need those situations to be called right and go for you.
Muric 6 whatever
Assignon 4 see ya
O'Shea 6 gave a toss, good bit of pace to get back and make the tackle in the 2nd half
Esteve 6 saw far too much of the ball
Taylor 4 whipped for pace in the 2nd minute and it didn't get that much better for him
Cullen 7 for effort more than anything
Berge 6 far too ponderous but has very few options to ponder in front of him
Bruun-Larsen 4 bob
Odobert 5 a lot of man beating but far to keen to walk it in - he's not the only one
Amdouni 3 not very good at all
Foster 4 kept putting the effort in. Constantly held by their defenders. Dropped far too deep so he was never near the box. Part of out best move of the match which came to zip.
Gudmundsson 6 our best player 2nd half
Vitinho 3 really crap today
The Premier league procession is over for another year. Spoiler: city will win it at a canter again next season. With the authorities actively encouraging cheating both on and off the pitch and VAR being a thing still, I'm so glad we're out of it. Back to actual proper footballnext season where it's still a real sport.

Muric 6 (Nothing wrong tbf, but nothing of real note either)
Assignon 5
O'Shea 6
Esteve 6
Taylor 5
Cullen 7
Berge 7 (I really can't decide about this guy. He purrs around like a Rolls Royce and looks head and shoulders above those around him, but when it comes to what really matters he can't seem to hurt teams. I acknowledge that MAY be the fault of those clowns around him! I just don't know!)
Amdouni 3 (-1 for appalling miss)
Oderbert 4 (Loads of trickery, but just as many blind alleys)
Foster 4 (Seems to have been replaced by aliens! A shadow of the player we saw early season!)
JBL 4
Vitihno 5 (All heart, but patently not good enough. He only cost a million.....for a reason!)
JBG 7 (Still a good player!)
Yet AGAIN beaten by a team who really weren't any better than us, but we're so bloody easy to score against, even when we're dominating the game and we have so much possession, but simply can't hurt teams or make it count. I honestly believe the team we put out today would **** the championship, but in the PL they are way below par! 38 games don't lie.

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric 6 - didn’t really have to do much, but handling was clean and made a couple of saves
Assignon 4 - not good enough
O’Shea 6 - caught out a few times positionally. I can’t take to him. Improved as the season went on but he showed us his limitations again today
Esteve 6 - not bad. Got potential.
Taylor 5 - very poor for the first goal. Been a top player for us but could be time to move on.
Berge 6 - has so much of the ball but can’t unlock a defence (not that there’s much movement in front of him).
Cullen 6 - did what he does - tidy
Bruun Larsen 4 - thanks for the memories
Amdouni 3 - don’t think I’ve given a 3 before. Should have buried that chance in the first half. Can’t remember him linking up with Foster once
Odobert 6 - no end product - I like him though and hope he can kick on after a baptism of fire first season with us
Foster 4 - not sure what to say
Vitinho 4 - clumsy, can’t deliver a ball
Gudmundsson 6 - tried to inject some purpose and urgency

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric 7 - Nothing wrong
Assignon 4 - Garbage
O’Shea 5 - Thought he was laboured today
Esteve 4 - Slow, zero awareness and absolutely terrible passing at times
Taylor 5 - Average at best, possibly done too easily on 1st goal. I’d have to see that again (but, I’ll try not to)
Cullen 5 - Tried his best but was struggling to keep up with the pace and physicality of Forest
Berge 4 - Infuriated me today with his lack of forward momentum. Strolled about in a very nonchalant manner (he often does have a ‘languid’ style, but I don’t know, seemed off it)
Odobert 6 - At least attempted to run at Forest but by Christ he has such a poor end product. Terrible crossing, reluctance to shoot, won’t pass at the right moment. Loads of potential and hopefully we get a £20/25m offer and sell.
JBL - 3 Offered absolutely zilch.
Amdouni 3 - He’s been useless since about October and wasn’t particularly good before that. More effort from Michael Ricketts in his loan spell! £15.5m, dear God.
Foster 3 - Not sure what has happened to him but he is barely a footballer at the moment. Doesn’t make runs, stands miles away from the box, has no touch, doesn’t offer us a platform to hold it up etc etc. How is this the same player we saw at Villa?
Delighted to get out of Turf Moor today. I mean this quite honestly - I’d not even muster a reaction if any players (barring Cullen and Berge) left us this summer. Time to forget about this season, this squad and (mercifully) this league.
Also - All the best to Corky, JBG, Jay, and Taylor - I assume all will be departing (possibly incorrect). You’ve been key components of a time watching Burnley I thought I’d never see, and likely never will again. Thankyou for your excellent service.

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric 6 ...When he first came back into the team his distribution really stood out and caught the eye. Seems to have disappeared atm . Couple of decent saves.
Assignon 5..last game presumably
O Shea 6...good pace to get back and tackle their bloke who was clean through in the secondd half. Poor for the first goal mind you,
Esteve 6....seems reluctant to travel forward with the ball at times
Taylor 5....you could just see that Ellanga was going to skin him for the first goal.
JBL 5..offered not a lot but he did pull the ball back from the byline for Amdouni nicely . Perfect for Zeki to stick it into Row Z
Cullen 6 ..seem to be getting further forward more, which is not necessarily a good thing
Berge 7..everything went through him (not that "everything" amounted to that much)
Odobert 6..the only one of our forward players who looks like he MIGHT do something
Foster 4...I really, really want Lyle to do well but he was pretty much non-existent today. Poor movement and barely touched it in the box.
Amdouni 3...I just want him gone tbh Hope someone will buy him. Not sure if it's zero confidence or zero f***s ..probably both I think
JBG 6...at least he looked like he wanted to make things happen. been a great player for us (as has Cork of course)

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Episode 38 of Chuckle Brothers football.
Muric - 6
Assignon - 3 Not even close to being anywhere near good enough.
Esteve - 7 will be an asset next season
O'Shea - 4 A very average player. Consistently loses his man. We have three better centre backs in the squad.
Taylor - 4 time to move on from Charlie
Odobert - 5 plays like a kid, because he is one. Tries schoolboy tricks and passes against premier league footballers.
Cullen - 6 keeps us moving but has no creativity
Berge - 4 I don’t get it. Slow, ponderous. Mainly passes sideways and backwards. Sell if we can get £20m.
JBL - 4 thanks but bye. Incapable of beating his man.
Amdouni - 3 garbage. Get rid.
Foster - 3 garbage. Get rid, also.
JBG - 7 made a difference, again. Should have started many more games. Will be sadly missed. Expect him to make a difference against us next season, also (somewhere like Norwich).
Vitinho - 4 has improved but is still incredibly naive, like his manager and teammates.

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
Muric - 7 did his job properly and made a couple of decent saves to keep the score down.
Assignon - 5 was supposed to be the first game of the new era according to VK so why pick someone who is patently on his bike?
Charlie - 4 has looked well off it recently. Pitiful for the first goal.
Esteve - 5 looks shakey to me
O’Shea - 5 Wood could easily have had a hat trick and worryingly the defence doesn’t look any better than it did in August.
Cullen - 6 scuttles around a lot and scored
Berge - 6 looks good but I sometimes wonder if he is the one mainly responsible for our laboured build up
Larsen -4 cut back for Amdouni’s sitter and that was it
Amdouni -4 at least he got in some positions to shoot but makes the wrong decisions usually and rarely hits the target
Foster -3 couple of decent passes to the wide men and that was it. No threat whatsoever.
Odebert -6 ok his end product is lacking at times, however he looked up for it today, made some good runs and got some crosses and shots in, sadly the quality wasn’t there.
Gudmundsson -6 mustered the only other decent shot on goal and put some decent crosses in unfortunately neither of our forwards know how to get a header in
Jayrod -5 did nothing noteworthy.
We went up last time based on our dynamic forward play. Barnes, Jayrod, Benson, Tella and Zaroury chipping in buckets of goals. It’s a concern I think that the current front two look like they couldn’t burst their way out of a paper bag although they will get more space and time next year. Personally I would off load the pair of them as others have suggested but that won’t be so easy as both are contracted until 2028.

Just about sums it up, fans willing Foster to do well so he gets favourable treatment and fan support whilst willing Amdouni to fail and the young kid gets zero support.Stalbansclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 9:29 pmFoster 4...I really, really want Lyle to do well but he was pretty much non-existent today. It’s down right appalling the lack of support some of these young kids have received from their own fan base. I have never experienced this before, a young 21 year old keeper getting absolute pelters because he is not named Muric.
And some of you wonder why we’ve been relegated? Maybe support and encourage the team you claim to support.
Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
While I fully accept and actually agree with your point here, surely you need to take a look at yourself, constantly slating Foster at every opportunity, including in your post above this? If anything, Foster deserves a touch more leniency given his struggles this season both mentally and emotionally physically (hernia op). When you miss large chunks of a season it’s not unusual to struggle finding form again. Cornet wasn’t the same after AFCON, off the top of my head this season James Maddison has been poor since his big injury and despite looking a dead cert for England team, he may now miss out. Foster was looking seriously good for the first part of the season and was comfortably our best player. He’s clearly struggling for form and so by your logic, should be supported by us?KRBFC wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 9:03 amJust about sums it up, fans willing Foster to do well so he gets favourable treatment and fan support whilst willing Amdouni to fail and the young kid gets zero support.

You literally just slagged of Foster in the post above haha.
Also you do realise they are the exact same age? Both 23

Re: Burnley v Nottingham Forest - Player Ratings
I am afraid being 23 years old is not a defence mechanism to absolve poor performances, and that goes for Lyle as well as Zeki. We'd all like them to be scoring every week and to have confidence in them for The Championship in terms of leading the line, but the pair of them have been very, very poor for going on six months now. I have not heard any abuse levelled at either player at Turf Moor, other than people (understandably) saying "Bloody Hell Amdouni" etc when he misses chances like yesterday.
Criticism of performances on here, which they're almost certainly totally unaware of, is par for the course and no player is bullet proof from a review of their performances. That's the nature of this forum and, by and large, I don't think there's been anything OTT/personal about the players - maybe some untoward stuff about Lyle's mental health and so on, but on a performance level people have just been saying what they see, frankly.
On form (i.e, Foster v Villa, Zeki v Sheff U at home etc) you'd hang your hat on them to bag 15+ each at the level we're going to be playing at but personally I am concerned we cannot rely on them to get what we need. I think we definitely need a new centre forward that we can confidently state is a 'goalscorer'. On the other hand, if we kick off game one with Foster and Zeki up front and they both notch and we win, different story entirely and maybe that is the risk we take. I get the feeling they're both utterly shot for confidence (entire team is to be honest) and maybe, just maybe, they would kick on in a team dominating every game as we probably will be doing.

It’s down right appalling the lack of support some of these young kids have received from their own fan base. I have never experienced this before, a young 21 year old keeper getting absolute pelters because he is not named Muric.
And some of you wonder why we’ve been relegated? Maybe support and encourage the team you claim to support.
