To suggest players don’t put effort in is ridiculous.

Massively low in confidence and ultimately. It good enough.

I'd usually agree. Today I'm not so sure. We saw what Foster could do if he put effort in with his 10 second burst in injury time.
I'm not convinced he put that effort in for 90 minutes or for the last few months.

I'm also a huge fan of Sander Berge but I do sometimes have to question his work rate. It may be why a player of his talent is playing for us at this stage of his career.

I’ll name you 5 that I didn’t think were giving their all today for one reason or another.

Assignon. Berge. Foster. Amdouni. Bruun Larsen.

They were out there working but it was clear it wasn’t all on the line today.

Amdouni hasn’t given full effort multiple times this season.

Yes. I think one or two of them knew that today was going to be their final appearance for us.

Obviously, I'm not just talking about Cork and JBG.

JGB was actually playing his last game for us today and he had more energy, more drive, more quality, and certainly more effort than the pathetic Amdouni.

Still a mystery to me how some claim we will storm the Championship with Foster and Amdouni up front.

We won’t.

Foster is still an unknown quantity really. His performance away at Villa is one of the best number 9 displays I've seen from a Burnley player in years. Anything since then has been utterly dreadful.

He could hit 25 goals next season if he can be bothered. Unfortunately I have no faith in his attitude or work rate.
I imagine if he's still here he will spend half of the season out injured or ill or whatever and then spend the rest of it 'getting back up to match fitness' whilst putting in lazy displays

Foster, Amdouni, Taylor, even Berge looked like he was going through the motions.
Only few I saw that looked like they cared were Foster and Esteve. Jay and Cork both put it in when they came on too

To be fair to Taylor he was a spare part yesterday, esteve seemed to be covering his usual area rendering him a rather impotent wing back

Amdouni won’t be here next season but if he was he would be comfortably too good for the championship, someone having a laid back approach doesn’t mean they are working hard

You genuinely think Amdouni works hard?
Do you not remember the amount of work Ings use to get through off the ball? That's exactly what Amdouni should be doing in terms of pressing but he literally can not be bothered which is why he won't make it to.the top. He has ability but won't make the most of it.

i quite like Amdouni, i hope he stays, be a real talent in the championship.

people who think he should be running about like a headless chicken chasing the ball around need to understand football more.

Ings work rate back when he played for us makes most of this seasons squad look like they aren’t working hard not just Amdouni. There’s a lot to said for players playing without confidence. Amdouni has barely featured and then chucked straight in the starting 11 out of nowhere, is there any wonder he’s rusty. Same last weekend, chasing the game and throwing benson on expecting him to do something after not playing all season

Fulham at home Ramsey started randomly after not playing for weeks to and had a shocker

Working hard doesn't equal chasing the ball around like a headless chicken. Amdouni's work-rate is massively below the required level, whether this is due to attitude or fitness/stamina. He clearly isn't suited to the English game and you've got to question how a player like this made his way onto our potential transfer shortlist.

Amdouni just doesn’t look like a player who will ever play with real intensity. He’s a floater / drifter, a technically gifted (albeit that’s disappeared lately) forward who’s not really a striker. When he was on it earlier in the season (Forest away, Sheff Utd home) he was a joy to watch and there were really promising signs. He looks a shadow of that now, dribbles aren’t coming off and snatching at every shot. I don’t buy that he’s ‘lazy’ though, but it’s not a work rate a team battling relegation needs. We’ll see if he stays next season, I’d be surprised personally, and can see him in Italy or France.

He had a ridiculous run of games where he seemed to be undroppable! He's got no excuses for his performances. Especially since about December time where he seemed to just completely give up. I've not even seen the little glimpses of potential from him since then.

He's been a waste of space so far and I hope he is gone by the time next season comes around. I was close to booing him off yesterday when he was subbed he was that bad but thought better of it.

Last game of the season, already relegated.
Why go gung ho and risk injury for next season.?
I thought the lads put in a decent effort.

Proof that some people will accept any old shite. VK will be under no pressure next season with this sort of reaction.

We all know we've been short of one or more "Barnes"-like players this season. I'm not saying he would have kept us up but his type of player is crucial.

You build teams with balls.

Yesterday reminded me of watching for a large part an over 60's walking football team such was the lethargy

Fair play to some who class that as 'effort'

The first goal...if you watch it back, Taylor was one on one with Elanga.....Brun-Larsen made no effort whatsoever to get back & help.........you see it all over the pitch...they are not a TEAM.
There's been both too much chopping and changing all season....& not enough... the 28 Trafford starts are an abomination.......it's a mess frankly.
I'm usually fairly positive, but i just don't see that Company ever learns from his mistakes.

I think we have enough raw talent in the side to have a good crack at the Championship though.
