Agree 100%. The Luton one at home still bugs me. Even if the referee thought it was a “coming together” surely VAR look at it anyway to check the build up to it etc, you can clearly see from all the angles that Trafford was almost assaulted and at that point they should have intervened. I bet it won't. There will still be referees giving penalties for the most blatant of dives, and there will still be VAR officials saying "it isn't clearly wrong because there was contact".

The penalty farce will go on until they get referees together and explain that a trip means someone has fallen over because of another man's actions. As it stands now, they believe that a trip is any instance of a man landing on the floor after touching someone.
