Think that will be game over at Colne after the showers that have just come through. Belting it down.

I don’t know who is responsible for the Play Cricket updates but Rochdale have been stuck on 111/6 for ages.

I think the Play Cricket updates are linked to the match scorers.
Covers were on at Burnley, now coming off, not raining at the moment.

Off again at Burnley, not raining though. Lightning this time. Under current rules off for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Currently off at Tod. House 116/5 from 28 in a game already reduced to 33 overs.
Jonny Whitehead 65no
Not looking good to get back on. Just had a massive downpour after originally going off for lightning. Cracking storm. Brightening up but still raining.

Safe to say the game at Tod is off. Outfield like a lake.

Defeat for Burnley after much confusion. Both teams agreed to resume after the rain even though the required number of overs couldn't be played to achieve a D/L result. Burnley went out needing 28 from 2 overs, which they obviously didn't get, but ended up with 6 points, despite losing, I have no idea how. Everyone is confused!

DL can be a mess but 6 points is better than the 5 if they hadn't have give it a go. Similarly 1 more point than most who were rained off. Whilst there is a 1 in the defeat column it's total points that matter and a glance at the League table shows it isn't that bad

Burnley decided to try and go for the target of 28 from 2 overs, knowing full well there was very limited time left. They would only have got 5 points for a 'no result' game, but, because they had earlier got the 2 bowling points and then got batting points for getting close to Rochdale 's score, they ended up with 6 points. ( If I've read it right!)

Shows what a farce this league is now with the bonus points. Had the game been abandoned, both teams would have won 5 points, but because they got a result, Rochdale won 10 points for winning while Burnley then got 4 batting points for getting and the two bowling points for having bowled Rochdale out. So they got 6 points in losing which is one more than they would have got. I've said all along that bonus points for losing are a farce.

My idea 20 points for a win if it’s colne 10 points for a win any other team nothing for a no result

They get points for bowling a side out or for getting within so many runs when chasing seems fairly sensible to me

I'd prefer a points system that rewards winning teams rather than offering consolation prizes
