I went onto the Up the Clarets Twitter account this morning and was forced to put in a date of birth. Not wanting to put in my own, I opted for 21/1/2016 which is the date this site launched. The account was immediately locked because Twitter is only available to people over the age of 13.

I've appealed it, but got nowhere with that. I've submitted proof of age, but got nowhere with that.

Can anyone offer any help or suggestions?

CT have you been on the help centre through the app?

I’ve circled this box which has FAQs in there and another option “access your account”

Might be worth having a fiddle through these if you haven’t already.

I can’t even get there. Totally blocked now so can’t even access any help pages.

All I get now is the page below. The form they refer to is not a form at all but a requirement for a parent or guardian to authorise it. That was done but has been rejected.

I hardly use it, but this came up on a search, no idea if it would work though...

I have no access so can't change anything. That's the issue I have.

And the form tells me I have to provide parental consent - that has been refused. I have nowhere else to go.

Log in to your locked out account.

Go to this form: https://help.twitter.com/forms/locked?u ... ncorrectly. It's for the third option, "I entered my date of birth incorrectly," which also seems to have the most success in getting unlocked if you choose this option on the form originally.

Submit an ID which has a birth year that would make you older than 13 at the time you created your account.

try accessing it through either the app on your phone or on your computer - whichever one you haven't got. That way you HAVE to log in, might get you access to the links. If you use both, then use an incognito mode in google as that will not have any of your sign in details saved.

You're only logged in because of a cookie. Delete the cookie and you're automatically logged out

If you can't find the exact cookie then just delete them all and re-login to all your other accounts

or do what I said and use incognito mode

I’ve now been able to logout of Twitter and I’ve been able to login to an account that at least I can use for viewing. But there seems to be nothing I can do about the UTC account.

That’s on my phone using the app as well as on my laptop.

Try and login on your laptop, but before you do clear your cache

Top right hand corner of Google Chrome, you see 3 dots. click this
Then CLEAR BROWSING DATA
Then select CACHED IMAGES AND FILES
Then CLEAR DATA

Then login to X again

I was informed that it was blocked but there is no trace of it and if you are on there it says the account doesn't exist.

Nothing now in over four days and you cannot communicate with them in any way. Any attempts and the reply comes back that the case is now closed.

But I have blocked half the accounts on the TwitterClarets hash tag, that keep spamming.

The trouble is next time I go on the hash tag all the accounts are visible.
