Lots of confusing information on the board.
Does anyone know if he still employed by the club? If so, is he being considered for the vacant mangers' role?

Not sure i'd trust asking this board for a concrete 100% reliable answer unfortunately tbh.

CT said he left immediately after the last game.

From the bits a pieces my best guess built on what others (who seem) reasonable have suggested is that. VK and CB fell out a couple of months back, Bellemy subsequently worked in isolation from his boss and left the club immediately after the game. He has been linked with Ajax who have struggled to land a boss, possibly as a potential assistant; but following the imminent departure of VK has had fresh talks about possibly continuing with Burnley, presumably as first team coach or as part of a new management team. But I’m pretty sure there is no firm news.

It was reported at the start of the season that he had experienced some major problems in his personal life and finances. Rightly or wrongly I got the impression that VK had been good to him in the previous 3 to 4 years and was protecting him . Not sure if that friendship has now been strained, and if managing a club like ours aspiring to another prompt promotion might be a step too much for Craig. You would hope and think AP has first hand experience of how he is faring

From what I’ve read I’d say he’s gone to find other opportunities. He obviously knew VK was off.

You would hope the Chairman would know if Bellamy is still an employee of the club, or not.

I just find it really really odd that our actual ASSISTANT MANAGER, apparently left the club over a week ago, and nothing has been said at all by the club on the matter. All very strange.

It's very strange you aren't dealing with something that's normal. You only have to refer to the official statement thread & seemingly some people are just happy to accept that important statements aren't necessary & there's no expectation. It's a complete circus where confusion & chaos reins.

To be honest I don’t. The football side is in the equivalent of a wakes week shutdown, and major maintenance and readjustment of the behind the scenes mechanics of the business are underway. They will wait until the shiny new machine is ready.

"Wakes week shutdown". Quality. That term will fox the gloryhunters on this board.

I was told he had left the club along with another member of staff Piet Cremers.
The people who remain from the back room staff now as I understand it are Michael Jackson, Eliot Tybebo and Richard Bredice. Whether Bellamy and/or Cremers return following last week’s news on Kompany I don’t know.

The actual MANAGER, apparently left the club a week ago as well and nothing has been said by the club.

Yes I know. That’s my point.
Nobody is going to make any comment, until it’s confirmed
We’ve seen in the past, press releases before it’s confirmed

You only have to look at our approach for Paul Lambert that was plastered on the official website. Made us look ridiculous. Nothing needs to be said until it’s official. Anything else is amateurish.

Was it really on the official site? I know Lambert had agreed a deal with us but didn't think we'd published anything.

Well there is a reason for that, as they are waiting for the contract to be signed. Bellamy however has just left?? He's not going with him is he, by all accounts?

Pretty sure, the approach to Norwich was published on the website at least. I will try and see if I can find a cache of it.

Can only find this from the LT - A Burnley statement tonight read: "Burnley Football Club can confirm that tonight a formal request has been submitted to Norwich City Football Club to speak to their manager Paul Lambert.
"The club has begun the process of targeting the shortlist of candidates to fill the vacant manager's role at Turf Moor.
"And club officials have subsequently requested permission from the Norwich City board of directors to discuss the position with Lambert."

I am fairly certain it was on our website though.

Given how the season panned out, I'd prefer a clean sweep of the backroom staff.

Given that refers to Burnley FC confirming then it's fair to say it was likely on the club's website.

Do we know if Craig left of his own accord or was let go by Kompany or let go by the club.
Reading between the lines, it can't have been the club as it seems that there is communication between them.

Quality that elwaclaret. I showed your post to my wife, Halifax born and bred, she had a chuckle as “ Wakes week’ or as she called it "Wakes fortnight" brought back memories of her childhood.

He did say a while ago in an interview that he wasn't interested in becoming a manager. I think he likes to come in, do his job and go home without the stress a manager has. He might have changed his mind though.

Very odd. I bet it's the same people who always say literally any former player should come back as coach/manager. Marney, Cork, Mee, Barnes in recent years. Doesn't matter if they're any good.

Yep. It’s a small club mentality thing again. Little old Burnley, remember the orient game etc.

I think this is the best news to come out of this saga since the season ended.
I personally think Bellamy still has a lot to offer and although I wouldn't mind seeing him as Head Coach under a DoF, I can see him being part of a new Manager / Head Coach's back room staff including Jackson.
It could be a master stroke by Pace utilising Bellamy as the shackles might now be off and he will have more input with the players without Kompany's stubbornness .

Hopefully he doesn't create an 'unacceptable coaching environment' as he did with the youngsters at Cardiff while he's in charge.

Think they can be a little more exotic these days, but who knows. Blackpool was the destination of choice in the late Nineteenth Century after the trains reached Burnley in the1860’s, closely connected to reed festivals and Lammas (August 1st) pre- industrialisation (sorry for being a nerd)
