He’ll be supervising the empty training ground while the squad are on their holidays. At least now we know we aren’t gonna have the players back in for pre season stupidly early.

He was declared bankrupt last year wasn't he? Seemed unlikely he'd walk away from any employment at the moment.

I think if your first reaction to hearing this was to think of me, you might be a little bit too online.
Bringing him back at a time we don't need an acting head coach seems a little bit panicky to me.

Assume their job will be to prepare an orderly handover for the new manager. Also keeping open communication lines with existing players and acting as a go between for the squad and the board.

I think Tony has explained himself adequately. He said Bellamy left after last game because of a difference with VK. Things appear to have moved on since then

Seems totally reasonable. Not sure why anyone would think differently. A few months salary for potentially helping the new guy get up and running. And if the new guy is ok with him then he always appeared up to the assistant role in any case. Probably can help some of the guys who are out in the cold come back to the fold. He will actually have the history and may well know what would work. If he only succeeds once it will have been worth it.

And what if he’s the reason they’re out in the cold?

I have not read a single post that suggests that CB might be able to do the managers job permanently.. I ask why not?
Has a good footballing brain,
Know's the championship,
Has Jackson at his side,
Know's his squad,
Motivation will not be a problem,
I could go on, and I for one am prepared to back him all the way, we are only Burnley after all.

Don’t bite. Bellamy had left and I heard pretty strong rumours that changed fairly soon after Kompany left the building… which in turn suggests CT was right that they had fallen out a few weeks before, creating a pretty awful atmosphere.

If, as is the general consensus, Bellamy did leave and then return and given the title of 'acting head coach' did he get a pay raise?

Would you really want to risk a very important season on someone with no managerial experience?
I’m sure Jackson is a good bloke and presumably a decent enough coach for a few managers to appreciate what he brings, but as a manager or number two, why would he be so great by Bellamy’s side?

You have just stated that Bellamy had left, i was asking for proof but there doesn't seem to be any.

If you are that interested I suggest looking through a lot of commentators on Twitter when several (of the better one’s) start talking on the same lines it’s usually not far off

Ok, i am on twitter and I've seen nothing at all.
It's not on there and you cannot provide the receipts.
Pretty confident that no well known commentators have stated that Bellamy had left the club.
I can understand people saying they had been told by someone that he had left as that's how rumours work.
To say that it is being pedelled by well known commentators on x is quite bizarre.
Lets leave it at that.

Saying Bellamy left means left the building/town not left his employment. Probably just took a few days away.
He’s therefore currently the highest rank on the footballing side of things, MJ second highest. Only natural as employees they’re put to work. Keep things smooth, prepare training, be a contact for current squad and advise on footballing matters etc….. it’ll really help the new manager and keep things tidy.
If the new manager decides not to retain them they’ll be paid off, like a sacked manager.
Neither are remotely what we need in the managers role full time but both could end up part of the new managers staff.

Some people think this board is the ONLY place there’s information available about the club!
X and WhatsApp groups are lively and there’s people on there that are ‘in the know’ as anyone on this board.

You're probably better off just following the official site if you need everything clarified.
On a supporters message board there won't be much proof as people won't mention their sources.

Not that they were protecting their sources.

Fair enough. You stated that Bellamy had left, like it was a literal fact, not that someone had told as a rumour.
I was merely asking for proof.

We have some continuity with CB and MJ.
It may be temporary or it could become permanent. No one knows at this stage.
We have a large No of players to move out. These two know them well and are the best remaining people to advise the board.
It’s a good thing in my view.
Who said what and did what and offered Jay a contract is irrelevant. It’s done and VK was here when it was offered.
The search for a new management team has started.
Let’s not over think and complicate this situation.

All rather weird, UNLESS of course he's already inked in as the next manager with Jackson alongside him. That's kind of how it feels.

I don't understand all the bickering going on about who (supposedly) knows what and when they (supposedly) knew it. The facts are Kompany has left, the club is actively looking for a new manager and Bellamy has been appointed acting head coach. Best we all relax, have a couple of beers or whatever your favourite tipple may be and wait for the top brass to announce a new manager.

Perhaps an appointment of a new manager will require a resume of all the players. Attributes and shortcomings.
Bellamy is best placed for that.
