The yellow 'Roadkill' shirt was awful.cockneyclaret wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 12:45 pmLooks better than the crap we were playing in last season
The issue with the tournament is that it’s 'sports entertainment' (think WWE or Harlem Globetrotters) masquerading as real football. If we were appearing as “JJ Watt’s Clarets” I would not have a problem with it. But we are billed as “Burnley FC”. The other British clubs participating in the tournament clearly understand the difference and are appearing under ‘brand adjacent’ names. It is the authenticity of British football that gives it so much value and prestige. So yes we’re ‘getting Burnley’s name out there’ but it’s a cheapened version of the name.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 1:03 pmWhat’s wrong with the tournament? It gets burnleys name out there in the states.
Then you’d have people whinging that we are tainting the name of the club by putting some Americanised nickname against it.Oshkoshclaret wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 1:41 pmThe issue with the tournament is that it’s 'sports entertainment' (think WWE or Harlem Globetrotters) masquerading as real football. Bayern (yes them), Inter and Borussia Dortmund are in under their name.Oshkoshclaret wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 1:41 pmThe issue with the tournament is that it’s 'sports entertainment' (think WWE or Harlem Globetrotters) masquerading as real football. It's really not that deep.Oshkoshclaret wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 1:41 pmThe issue with the tournament is that it’s 'sports entertainment' (think WWE or Harlem Globetrotters) masquerading as real football. How do you do these?bfc-njr-2017 wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 2:26 pm
One I'd knocked up just after the Castore deal was announced, annoyingly similar to what they put out.
Thought the team looked v smart in it this year, particularly under lights
One of the worst I've seen
Agree with the crap monochrome badge it’s just a trend that hopefully will be phased out. As for the ‘Americans’, we had the monochrome badge long before they came, so can’t understand why yet another swipe is aimed at them.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 8:51 pmDoes anyone know who's idea it is to go with this crap monochrome badge? It is awful.
Why can’t we have the colourful badge back!
These Americans really don’t have a clue what they are doing and it is just sad.
We’ve been using monochrome crests on certain kits since 2012.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 8:51 pmDoes anyone know who's idea it is to go with this crap monochrome badge? It is awful.
