Please feel free to add any comments you have seen recently from the players below.
Manuel Benson
“ The season is done

it has been a tough year , but in a footballers life there are many ups and downs. It is all about how we learn and come back stronger. Thanks to all the fans for the massive support we always get and the people working at BFC, this is a family! See you soon

”
Sander Berge
“I have really enjoyed it playing here, since the moment I arrived. It’s a fantastic place to learn and to work hard every single day under the coaching staff.
“There’s great players, the staff behind the scenes and also the fans. Everyone has been there for me across the season to help become the best player I can be.
“I think over the season going on we have shown what we can do and what we are capable of to become a stronger team. We know it’s not been the season we wanted and the goals we had set, but it’s about responding now and bouncing back from it.
“I’m very humble and very thankful for everyone at the Club that have helped me settle in and It’s an amazing Club to play for."
Not one word of VK in both statements.

Just contrast that to the reactions on social media from many of the Chelsea players posted within 24 hours of Pochettino being dismissed. From Cole Palmer, Nicholas Jackson and others thanking him for the coaching and support he had given the players during his time at the club.

I THINK, that the Berge quote is from before VK left. Not certain, but he certainly made a similar one, sometime after the Spurs game, maybe even after the final game of the season, but I think it was before the Bayern link.
Benson's could be anytime, but I'm hoping more recently.

Vitinho today
““I have to be honest; I love the fans and they help me a lot. Maybe they don’t know but they help us a lot. When we are on the pitch, we feel stronger doing it with them.
I want to say thank you for the support and next season we go again.”

"Ready for some time with the family after a difficult season but I am already excited for next season. I would like to thank Vinny for for the last 18 months and wish him all the best however its fair to say over the last 6 months the training sessions started to resemble a scene out of Kes, the Ken Loache film"

I'm amazed you didn't add his second paragraph where he says that the falling out between Kompany and Bellamy was over who was going to be Bobby Charlton. Loach.

He's abandoned the club you allegedly support and your first priority is still to defend him. You've still NEVER been able to manage a critical word about him you've set your stall out so blatantly. Can just tell already what you'll be like, if the new manager fails it's on them but if they succeed it's because of the brilliant team Vincent Kompany left so really he got us promoted again.

You’re kind of right, I fully supported Kompany and the vision, I support the team and players bought, I think we’d have ultimately taken a step backwards to take 2 forwards in the long game. Short term pain for long term gain.
Sadly the fans weren’t willing to show the patience to see the thing out so when Bayern came calling I’m sure his decision was made easier. Why would he want to stick around here where the fans are on his back when he can go start fresh in Germany?
He won a league title with 101 points and where have fans thanked him for this since his departure?
All we’ve had is people making up vicious nonsense rumours about him falling out with Bellamy and latching onto Cork/Rodriguez’ lack of game time to start further rumours.
Like I said anyway, hopefully the new manager can deliver automatic promotion and be held to the same high standard as VK.
I somehow doubt it but be careful what you wish for and all that

The majority of fans who attend games showed lots of patience last season. Anyway, it's irrelevant because Kompany would've understandably chosen to move to Bayern regardless.

You're talking shite with this though. He was pretty much never booed at games, there were boos of disastisfaction about results towards the end after a long run of bad results, there was never a chant for Kompany to go.
I and many others on here said we weren't Kompany Out. Criticising decisions doesn't mean he was hounded out, fans were insanely patient with him. He binned off our Premier League season to advertise his playstyle for bigger clubs and has bragged that he had other clubs after him too- that doesn't happen if his agents weren't touting him about before the end of season.
Fans stuck by him and he shafted the club and you're still playing the world's smallest violin as if poor old Vincent got bullied out because of what- a couple of people on this forum and a couple of people on Twitter- a place well known for the worst of opinions. Pretty sure the guy's got thicker skin than that and again it's flat out shite, the vast majority of people even on here were still backing him and not wanting him sacked.
Dyche got ten times worse rumours when he was sacked, and had people calling for his head, you included, when he'd earned a damn sight more credit with results, with much smaller budgets. Compare his last season to this- Where was your patience then? Plenty of fans thanked Kompany for last season, but it does leave a sour taste for him to then have the biggest summer budget in club history, spunk it largely on youth vanity signings to advertise his playstyle and model, then scarper without a word when it sinks us with a record bad season for us. Had he stayed I'd be 100% backing him next season. Someone somewhat loses their thanks for doing good by you, if they then let you down disastrously, possibly with ulterior motives of one eye on their next job, and clear off without so much as a goodbye & thanks. Why should any Burnley fan thank Kompany if he's not even going to thank or acknowledge Burnley?
Just admit you'll be on the new guy's back from the off, give him sod all credit because he's not your messiah, and be done with it. You're in every thread ATM springing to the defence of a manager who binned us off without even a word.

I don't know why you're proud of the first part. You shouldn't be.
The second part is because this poster has form for hounding the previous manager constantly and never managing even a mildly critical word of Kompany, so I don't expect KR to actually be fair or balanced.

I am proud, I saw he was an egocentric manager, only intrested in his ‘brand’ and I called him out on it. Got banned for starting a ‘Kompany out’ thread, and got pelters from a number of people on this page.
Happy to be proven right.
I don’t think that’s a reason to be rude to him. Disagree, fair enough.

That’s pretty unfair, I have supported every new BFC manager since I was born. Why would I stop supporting now? This club is deeply engrained into me (like it is for most of us) and that will not change.
Not one man is bigger than the club, I was down after Coyle left, I’ll pick myself up and be excited and supportive once that first ball of the season is kicked, this isn’t my first rodeo.

You're defending a guy who ran after 1 season of bad results, on the basis of 1 season of good results. You spent years slagging off Dyche purely because you didn't like his playstyle, and calling for him to go, despite multiple years of good results including a European qualification which trumps Kompany. That didn't win enough credit for you to stop calling for his head at the first bit of trouble, but 1 season playing Pep-lite and winning the Championship wins Komapny enough that he can have a record breaking bad season, quit for Bayern having clearly been angling for a move before he left, possibly having sacrificed the club's season for his own job ad, and you're still unable to say a bad word about him.
You're not an idiot, you're a hypocrite who makes stuff up (this idea that the fans made it easier for Kompany to leave is predicated on the idea that anything more than a tiny, tiny minority of fans wanted him out) to suit your biases regarding what is good football. I've never heard you make a criticism of him, even now.

I have said multiple times the club and VK got it wrong during the summer, Its also pretty obvious how awful last season was, I just didn’t see the point of beating a dead horse.
I thought Dyche should have got the following season after his first relegation due to credit in the bank, my stance on Kompany was the exact same. Infact that’s something that will go for any manager at BFC, I think they’ve earned the right to try and bounce back if they’ve taken us up and back down.
