FFS, another one we've missed out on. Come on Pace, appoint a manager before it's too late.

I guess there is no chance now they will want to buy McNally, on loan all of last season, which may tell us a little more about this player we signed 24 months ago

Re: ARTICLE: Gibson stays in the Championship with Stoke
McNally did well at Coventry in the second half of the 2022/23 season but Robins opted to buy Bobby Thomas from us instead. I've read mixed reports of him at Stoke but he signed by the previous manager so that could make a difference. I always wonder about the Twine & McNally signings, Kompany's first at Burnley. They didn't seem to fit his plan at all and maybe we'd agreed those two signings before Kompany was involved.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 10:37 amI guess there is no chance now they will want to buy McNally, on loan all of last season, which may tell us a little more about this player we signed 24 months ago

He spent so much time injured so difficult to know, surely.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 10:33 amThat's a joke right.Gibson is a legend in his own head.Never good enough for us .

Re: ARTICLE: Gibson stays in the Championship with Stoke
During the first half of the 2018/19 season, when we were conceding goals for fun, he might have got in, but he had two operations during that time. He played against Everton on Boxing Day when we lost 5-1, his one contribution coming when he scored our goal, but then the team went on a terrific run for the remainder of the time he was at Burnley and so good were Tarky and Ben (Mee) that he was never getting in.
Having said that, I watched him a few times last season playing for Norwich and he very definitely didn't impress.

Remember when we signed him thinking we’d got a really good player on our hands but never worked out. Think it was really difficult for him to dislodge Mee and Tarks and then perhaps injuries have also played a part. He’s massively declined though, strange how at one point there was him, Keane and Alfie Mawson who were all being touted as England players but it never really worked out for any of them, Keanes had the best career of them all but I think it’s time he moved from Everton now. Think Maguire might also been part of that group but maybe a year later? Just another of the many signings I’ve been wrong about when they sign, tends to be the ones I’m underwhelmed turn out great and the ones I’m excited about turn out poor.

He’s far too slow now.

Most Norwich fans aren’t disappointed that he’s gone. Most of them would also like to see Duffy join him.

He was well rated at Boro, hasn't gone well since.
Re: ARTICLE: Gibson stays in the Championship with Stoke
He has, like Keane, gone backwards.
Re: ARTICLE: Gibson stays in the Championship with Stoke
Yeah. Gunn’s career has never really taken off after showing great potential. Think Norwich were hoping he’d be as good as his Dad!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 3:41 pmThe pair of them were abysmal in that play-off defeat against Leeds and with a poor goalkeeper behind them
Re: ARTICLE: Gibson stays in the Championship with Stoke
Unfortunate to be at the club at the same time as, IMHO, the best two centre halves our great club has EVER had.
No idea about his personality and attitude, as 99%-100 won't either.
