Hope us dads have a good day, if you've got a dad make sure you make a fuss of them or contact them,if you are about to become a dad good luck it is amazing. If like me your dad is no longer here raise a glass to him. Mine was a wonderful dad,a guiding light a rock,I think of him every day and still remember the first time he took me on the Turf.

Lost our Dad in 1985 ...

Never had children of my own.
I have step grown-ups and some wonderful step grandkids who have always treated me like their own 🙂 ...

I always raise a glass to Dad on this day and his Birthday ...

Cheers Dad 🍻

Tip of the day if you are struggling to get in anywhere today (Restaurants , pubs etc ) then nip over to Blackburn there isn't much demand over there today .

If you like being a Dad then just wait till you get a grandchild. Now that is amazing. Cheers Dad. Would have been 104. Top man

My dad passed 17 years ago. He took me on my first match in 1967 and when I got a bit older he used to talk for hours about how good Jimmy Mac was before Bob Lord sold him to Stoke.
A good man, I think about him every day.

A bitter-sweet Father's Day for me, considering we laid Dad to rest just last Friday .. our son's coming over to watch the match tonight !

This is the 35th year when I’ve not been able to see my dad on this day. Doesn’t stop me thinking about him.

Ive just been taken to Burnley FC fathers day carvery. Not sure if people know that the pitch has been dug up and is now being laid with mountains of sand. Also we were informed that the pitch will be more symmetrical this year so it will be moved slightly so its nearer to the longside than it normally would be

The club’s director of fan experience has confirmed it won’t be moved. He said they installing a new Desso pitch in the same position and that moving the pitch would require new heating and drainage adding.

Yes- Happy Fathers Day all you conscientious fathers.
Been thinking of mine today (as I did on the D-Day 8oth last week) and thankfully received some attention from my grown up offspring today.

There's a Telegraph article today entitled "Why being a good dad matters so much (at every stage of your child’s life)". Possibly behind a paywall but at https://www.telegraph.co.uk/family/pare ... d-matters/

I sadly lost my dad in 1994, just a few months before our play off win over Stockport.
A bright, intelligent man who my siblings and myself could ask any sort of question and he always had an answer ( I'm not sure they were always correct 😆).
A special man. 🙏
