Need to get rid of these two, I did think we looked a little short with pace without Walker.

Tight and at times ill tempered game at Rawtenstall with the hosts beating Rishton in a thriller by 5 runs to make it back to back wins!

Awful game at Church. Home team elected to bat then were scuttled out for just 79.
Clitheroe were even worse making just 51 all out of less than 27 overs - but gained 5 points to Church's 12!

Another great all round performance. Was worried when he cut the ball hard onto his foot and was hobbling and in visible pain. Affected his concentration and movement as he was out next ball Lbw.
He recovered enough to take another 5fer and the crucial wickets of Tolley and Owen who were threatening to take Norden home easily. Once they'd gone they folded quickly.

Looks to be some great fixtures next week as well, with the top sides playing each other.

Unfortunately Colne were too generous in being bowled out to allow Nelson an undeserved 2 points, and the umpires (unless their report is to follow later) were even more generous in not deducting a point for being 30 minutes over the time when the innings finished, with theoretically still an over to play.

Great Harwood were also ridiculously generous in allowing (a very grumpy!) Walsden team to amass in excess of 300 runs! Dropping their pro off a regulation catch first ball when on 0 didn't help as he then made 130. A Harwood reply of 214 was actually respectable, but sadly fell well short. One Walsden batter managed to almost take out the square leg umpire by literally hurling his bat high into the air after being clean bowled!

Fair play to those involved at Colne. Club was on its arse really a few years ago. Struggling for players, nobody drinking on there but they've really turned it around.
