OOO Charlie Taylor
All the best Chaz, just a proper solid bloke - a great signing for Southampton and the sort of profile you need when trying to consolidate in the PL.

Presumably his contract is up, do we know if he’s been offered another deal or if he’s rejected it and is looking to move on.

Re: Charlie Taylor
I hope he stays. No better left back in the Championship.
Re: Charlie Taylor
No, you're not alone. I will be accused of not having a sense of humour.
Re: Charlie Taylor
The club said they were in discussions with him when the news about Cork and Gudmonsson came out.
I’m presuming he hasn’t turned up for preseason.

Looks like the Burnley Express fell for this as well:

Re: Charlie Taylor
Maybe it’s the unease of not having a manager but having good pros like Taylor, Rodriguez, O Shea, Berge and Cullen in the team feels crucial for our chances…
Taylor ESteve O Shea and this new lad (NL U-21) as a back line feels solid and a good blend.

We have "good pros" - whatever that means all throughout the squad.Passing Clouds wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2024 9:24 amMaybe it’s the unease of not having a manager but having good pros like Taylor, Rodriguez, O Shea, Berge and Cullen in the team feels crucial for our chances…

If you mean older heads with Championship experience to guide the youngsters, then we have a plethora of them.
Re: Charlie Taylor
Contracts generally run up to 30th June i think, so he should be training with us this week technically.

Roberts

All therefore at risk of transfer.
It will be a huge loss, if our Charlie Taylor goes.

Re: Charlie Taylor
I was talking about Championship experience really. Admittedly a few others in there, though I think Roberts and Brownhill will go. We lose 1300 appearances (prem & champ) if Charlie goes along with Cork and JBG…ClaretInLeeds wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2024 9:42 amBrownhill

Re: Charlie Taylor
I can't see Brownhill leaving, although Roberts would be most likely. The biggest blow was losing Cork, who was a very influential player to have in and around the club.

Re: Charlie Taylor
Yeah, would be great if Brownhill stayed. Fingers crossed. Looking forward to getting the Manager sorted so we can start thinking about players and the actual game
