So we still haven't got a manager and could end up with Bellamy or Parker. Charlie Taylor has gone and we could lose all 4 goalkeepers. Has anyone got any good news for a change?

Wimbledon started today, watch some tennis to help take your mind off the football and Burnley related matters.

Alternatively, follow all of the General Election news and youโ€™ll be back to the football in no time.

That is a big downside now. Whatever increase you get on the State Pension is almost wiped out by the Company Pension being taxed. Sunak chooses his words very carefully stating pensioners will not pay tax on their STATE pension. The Tory plan is to keep cutting NI rather than raise the personal allowance.

Yes. Good.

The triple lock was fine as a temporary measure to get pension levels back to roughly where they should be, but keeping the triple lock in its place in the current form is untenable.
Now, we seem to have reached the stage where certain things are treated as "untouchable". No party can remove the triple lock as they will lose the pensioner vote in the same way that the liberals are still being hounded for allowing the tories to bring in university fees etc (even though it seems the tories aren't.
NI reduction counters the triple lock pretty well without actually removing it.

Anyway, it's not as bad as the plan to cap nursing home fees, so that income tax payers end up paying for a minority to keep a nice inheritance.

Let's be fair, this applies regardless of who is in charge. NONE of them would improve this country.

The North West's Reservoirs are 86.9% full, far higher than the 73% they were at this time last year, so a hosepipe ban is unlikely ...

This lunchtime, Joe Biden ate up all his Ice Cream, and took himself to the bathroom unaided ... so American democracy and leadership seem to be in safe hands ...
