Jack Cork

The rumour has it that Jack Cork is just about to join Preston.
Whilst wishing every success if he does , have the club missed a trick here .
He would surely have been worth another season in the Championship, or was it the club just wanting rid of his wages
If so it would be ironic if this turned out to be the Graham Alexander chapter in reverse when Preston let him go thinking he was finished

Preston wanted to keep Alexander but he only had a year left on his contract and we offered him two.

I would have Alan Browne from Preston on a free

Obviously as short sighted as we may turn out to be

Did we receive a fee when they took Tony Hancock off us or did we pay them?

You are probably one of these people who thinks Berge is a world beater .

Erik Pieters is available shall we bring him back ?
As good as Cork was for us in the past we will manage without him.

Alexander was a regular at PNE and they wanted to keep him, just not for two years. Cork an excellent servant for us, but I think the time is right to move on.

A rarity in football is Alan Browne. He doesn’t have an agent and negotiates everything himself.

Big Preston fan in the office at work, said he’s turned down offer to be highest paid player on Preston’s history

It’s a shame when a great legend of a player joins a club you can’t stand. Anyone but PNE or them down the road. I bet he does well because he’s a class act. Will probably get less bookings in a different system too.

I think Paul Scholes never had an agent either.

It's all relative. Berge isn't getting in Man City's midfield, but in the championship he's pretty much the best there is. Or at least thereabouts

Think of all the signing on fees he missed out on!

I'm sure I read De Bruyne negotiated his last contract with City. I wish more would do it and tell agents to bugger off.

That’s a good move for him and I wish him well (apart from when he plays against us), but it was the right time for him to move on.

We can surely all acknowledge that Cork doesn't get into our current central midfield. I'd love to know what you're smoking if you think otherwise. So you can't blame him for going to a weaker side where he'll get more minutes.

Fact is Jack will be their best player by a mile and might just keep them up, or finish a boring 15th place in the league.
I can’t really see the point in PNE !

Or think of all the signing on fees he didn’t have to share with a leech….
