Really interesting that his title is head coach and not manager. Will be good to know more about the set up of the backroom staff and whether we are getting a director of football as well.

Welcome, Scott!
Time for us all to back the manager & the squad now.Whilst people go searching for justifiable skepticism, there’s plenty in this appointment to be very pleased with.A talented squad we have; a manager that can adopt pragmatism is a sensible call.

Maybe after Vincent splurging a hundred million quid on a load of players, mostly young wingers, Alan has thought, hold on a darn minute.

A necessary appointment.
Speaks well but that interview almost put me to sleep.
Wish him the best though.

Anything other than promotion will be seen as a failure. Not an easy target to achieve - let’s hope that he can make it a hat trick.
Probably not who many of us would have chosen, but it’s done now and he deserves our full support and a fair crack of the whip.

We are delighted to announce that Scott Parker has been appointed as the club’s new head coach.
The 43 year old arrives at Turf Moor with a proven managerial record after securing two promotions to the Premier League previously with Fulham and Bournemouth.
He also enjoyed a stellar career as a player including fifteen seasons in the Premier League and representing his country, England, as captain.
After signing his contract to become boss of Burnley he admitted he couldn’t wait to get started: “I’m really pleased to be here! I have been speaking with Burnley for some time now which has been a positive thing as I’ve now got a real feel for the people around the club.”

Sounds like he gets along with Bellamy so I do wonder if Bellamy will stay with the club, unless Wales make a move for him. Excited for the season to start now!

Now I'll be honest here and tell you that I had a different headline but someone gave me that earlier today and I just had to use it.

Good luck to Scotty. So relieved we have a manager in place. We can now get on to some serious progress with the team and start planning our season. The last 5 or 6 weeks have been so frustrating

Not loaded with charisma but like any new manager appointment needs support from the fans and a bit of time to get his "style" across to the players.
It's done now time to crack on.

Your not on your own. Feels like the Brian Laws appointment to me for some reason. I don’t expect everyone to share this view, it’s just how I feel. I’ve never taken to him or how I’ve seen his teams play.
