Players Houses

Just thinking recently, silly as it seems, about where our players actually live. Whilst not on par with top PL earners they will still be seriously well off (probably mostly millionaires) so where do we think they might live? Ribble Valley? Cheshire? Don’t know why I got to thinking about it but I think it might have something to do with Gudmunson returning. Wondering where he might live.
Anybody any ideas or does anyone actually know where any live. I think we can discount Stoops or Hall Carr and pretty much all of Bacup.

Ashley Barnes bought a Mercedes V Class MPV to transport a few of his team-mates up from South Manchester, that was before his temporary 12 month interest in cycling in June 2021. He was living in Wilmslow then .. Jay Rod lives in the Ribble Valley, I believe.

Used to see a few knocking around Hale, Wilmslow that area when I lived in Altrincham.
Would often see George Boyd at Bowdon Cricket Club where my lad played.

Massengo loves locally I think - possibly the house that Tom Heaton lived in, in Cliviger. I’m only judging this from pictures from his Instagram that look very similar.
A lot live in Manchester city centre in high rise apartments.

Ribble Valley, Cheshire and High Rise apartments in Manchester City Centre are popular with our players as long as there is easy airport access.I see plenty of exact addresses through work but am of course governed by GDPR..

I did hear, although nothing to substantiate it, that a lot of the players who have come in during the last two years are renting apartments in Manchester that are owned by a former Premier League winner.

At one point I think some players lived in Ilex Mill Rawtenstall. Kevin McDonald and David Edgar lived in Summerseat and were regulars in the Footballers pub.
JBG lives Altrincham / Hale way.

Shame we spent all that money on Gawthorpe when we could have maybe used it to set up a new training centre closer to the players and Manchester.

I used to deliver Colin Blant his Racing post up Linden Lea at Balladen in 60s and lived next door to Paul Fletcher up Heightside Ave Newchurch in the 80s ....Colin Blant was a lovely fella as was Paul Fletcher my son was an avid Newcastle supporter when Shearer was around he got us Freebies for the Bolton v Newcastle game...so they do live amongst us and Colin only lived 2 minutes from Hall Carr Ian so it was very close you must remember Colin at Balladen.

I saw Cornet a few times in Manchester City centre so presume he lived there.
Not sure if many live in the ribble valley, but Jay lives in Waddington.
Owen Coyle lived in a house near Northcote on the A59 during his time with us.

I think the Calderstones house(s) may belong to the club and has been used by many in recent years. Also Northcote Park did feature in MtB and one player may still live on the estate now.Only a few hundred metres from Blackburn's training ground for what it's worth.

I think it featured on Mission to Burnley because someone else prominent at the club lived there - not one of the players.

And when he was a player he played in Sky Blue
He bought all these wingers but played only 2
In no longer managing The Claret and Blue.
Sorry about that.

I remember as a kid Jimmy Adamson had a house of Scott Park Road overlooking the park ( bottom end near Coal Clough lane) and everyone used to play football in the Park in front of it hoping he'd come out and sign uou up. I never saw him despite ensuring the ball went over the railings into his garden a few times. Probably one of the urban myths at the time
As mentioned recently with his sad passing Leighton James lived at Captains cottage opposite the George iv.

My best mates parents during the sixties bought Harry Potts house on Hillsborough avenue in Brierfield. I went there as he moved in and Harry was really nice, very friendly and gave my mate lots of Burnley stuff.

Western Avenue I think it is, big houses overlooking the park. Prior to that, he’d lived on Deerpark Road.

My mate now lives in the house on Scott Park Road where Bob Lord lived. He once found what he thought was a tramp in his front garden (my mate not Bob Lord). Turned out to be Ian McKellen looking for the house he was born in
