I hope he's a Nathan Tella type player because we will need someone like him in the Championship.

Simply to say Wiki has him at 5ft 9 ins, but a couple of posters have said recently he is over 6ft

I love his honesty on the video. He came across as a really likeable lad. He's not afraid to take risks even if it means making some mistakes. He clearly wants to integrate . Lets get right behind him and encourage that desire to get better and better.

That sort of description gives me absolutely no clue whatsoever of what to expect. It covers dozens, hundreds of footballers without telling us anything about what capabilities he has. Incredible that you can see 20 goals in him based on that.

No idea, but if he’s only 5’9” as per his Wiki page, then these two chaps must be tiny..

Maybe he is 6ft 2 and 5ft 9 when he jumps

Sites seem split between 5'9" and 6'3" but from his videos he certainly looks over 6'.
For a fair time Wiki had Manuel Benson as being taller than Charlie Taylor.

You’re mistakening him for Wout Weghorst who seems to get shorter when he jumps

Hopefully he proves to be a good addition. After last season, I can’t help but have the odd nagging doubt about signing players we’ve never heard of.
It worked well the season before, in the main, fingers crossed it can again.

Sambo, Pires and now Hountondji have given excellent first interviews, they all seem intelligent and likeable characters.
Hopefully things work out on the pitch for them and then obviously us too.

My guess would be with a silent 'H' at the start, the stress falling on the second syllable and a soft 'g' sound as in Bee-Gees.
'On-TONd-gee

If he’s half as good on the pitch as he is in interview then we have a talent. Very rare you get that honesty in an interview about not being scared to take risks even if it means making a mistake, his English excellent also.
Sambo, Pires and hountondji are 100% names the club had on their list in the event of relegation, I’d still expect some Scott Parker signings to come

This site is excellent for helping with pronouncing names.
