Queuing on the Ticketing site
Queuing on the Ticketing site
Anyone tried to access the ticketing site and also ended up in a queue??
Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
You’re in the queue
You are in a queue for the BURNLEYFC. When it is your turn, you will have 10 minutes to enter the website.
Why is there a queue?
25 Ahead of you
Thank you for your patience whilst we prepare your entry to the site.

Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
Think Ticketmaster are trying to replicate the Turf Moor Matchday experience - 25 ahead of you and 10 minute wait to get in.

Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
So we have left the previous system which when you went on would tell you it had sold out only for tickets to keep going back on sale due to how we did it to now moving to a new system that you have to queue to get on to find out if there are tickets available ?
One of the simplest things imaginable selling tickets for an event always comes across as really hard work for the club.

Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
Just tried this and it has put me in the queue with 43 ahead
When you click why is there a queue, it says when we expect high demand we put a queuing system in place. Not if there is high demand just if we think there will be

Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
Dear Queue-it User,
This email is your unique ID to the queue at BURNLEYFC.
You can return to the queue and check your status simply by clicking on the link below. You can use this queue ID from any computer that you can access your Inbox from.
This is your queue ID: (I've removed the link)
When your turn to enter the website you are queueing for is coming up, we will send you a reminder by e-mail. You should return to the queue as soon as you receive the reminder, as you will be given a limited time slot to enter the website and start your transaction. If you do not start your transaction within this time limit, you will lose your turn and position in the queue, and will have to start over.
IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that emails may be delayed, moved to your spam folder, or lost due to reasons beyond our control. Queue-it does not guarantee the timely arrival of this e-mail, or your reminder e-mail, to your Inbox. Therefore, we recommend that you check your queue status frequently to avoid losing your chance to enter the website you wanted to visit.
Kind regards,
Queue-it

Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
To be fair, whilst I've not tried the website to access tickets since last season, I called in to the ticket office on Wednesday, as a season ticket holder, to buy one of my "permitted" two tickets per home match for one of my non-season ticket holder mates. It was very straight forward and completed in no time at all. He was even allowed to pay for it as opposed to me, as the purchaser, saving the trouble of transferring money between us.
As a word of warning/advice though - the ticket will be by way of QR code sent by email to my email address about a week before the chosen game. I will then have to forward it to my mate for his use. When asked if paper tickets can be supplied, we were told that they can but they would rather not. I just hope everyone is tech savvy enough to deal with the use of QR codes.
I appreciate that not everybody can access the ticket office, but I thought I would put another viewpoint across in defence of the, sometimes much maligned, ticket office.

I presume people are only queuing to purchase tickets for one specific home game? Tickets for part time supporting friends and family?

It's as if they think we should be grateful for us buying tickets for their show.

120 in front now!
Hopefully it is with the outage as I'll be giving it a miss when it comes to buying away tickets

I’ve tried to buy some Man Utd tickets this morning and they’re having the same issue. “Due to a global Microsoft Server outage- ticket sales delayed until midday”

Only 25 before you. There were 266 before me so I found the x at the top of the page.

Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
The message from the club says a solution is actually being implemented - does that mean they are waiting for it to start working again?
Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
A fix has been sent out for the tech gurus to implement, doesn't sound too difficult so hopefully they'll have it up and running soon as it has worked at other organisationsClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 2:11 pmThe message from the club says a solution is actually being implemented - does that mean they are waiting for it to start working again?

Opens the door of opportunity for them where if you pay an upfront fee you jump the queue.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 8:47 amSo we have left the previous system which when you went on would tell you it had sold out only for tickets to keep going back on sale due to how we did it to now moving to a new system that you have to queue to get on to find out if there are tickets available ?

Isn't that how BFC operates now?

Re: Queuing on the Ticketing site
Is it not the same at every club though? Once the ticket has been purchased the club have no control over what happens to that ticket.
