What last season showed us is that no club of our size without a massive benefactor will ever stay at the top table for long. And to be honest, if it wasn't for the club being in dire need of the finances that come with the prem, I'd much prefer to stay in the championship.

Dyche had seven seasons to disprove the theory you mention. Did a good job of dispelling the myth too… you have to spend certainly, but not to the amounts that others do. We spent considerably more last year than we ever have, certainly more than dyche ever had, and we still couldn’t match the level achieved by Dyche. In fact, if I remember correctly, we were relegated.

I think it was meant in jest and it made me chuckle. Although if the original post was referring to the amount of posts then that would have been factually correct.
