Surely it's only natural to pay them a little extra attention this season?
First one to say 'who cares, move on' wins a cyber prize.
They won 1-14 away the other day btw.

Did I see them 2nd to Villa in Europe's biggest spenders this season?

Should walk the league, they've spent massively in this window and brought in some class players.
Hopefully all goes tits up (not to be bitter against VK, I always hope it goes tits up for them

)

Quite interesting reading their English Twitter account. They all seem very taken in and besotted by the 'sympathisch' Kompany. Speaking German and coaching the youngsters (McNally style). He's never worked with 'world class' players before....but played with them apparently. It's all positive at the moment, but as we know Bayern will not accept square pegs in round holes and bact to back defeats.... especially early on.

I presume Leverkusen will still be superb under Alonso, surely he's to smart for Vinny?

Read somewhere that our compensation potentially rises to £15m so I want them to be a huge success under Kompany.

I think it will be some task to overturn Leverkusen's total dominance from last season but from the way Kompany managed to turn around the mess that was our relegated squad I think if anyone can lead Bayern to victory in the league it is VK.
I think the Champions League will be a little trickier and might take him two or three seasons to win that so maybe last 8 this season.

I lived in Rottach-Egern in the 90's. It's a stunning, wealthy town situated at the side of lake Tegernsee.
Each Town in Bavaria has a football club with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd team
They play in a league against other town and village teams, which will probably be the equivalent of the West Lancs league. The clubs have their own grounds with excellent facilities and a clubhouse.
Bayern play Rottach-Egern every year after a training camp in the town.

Hitler had a summer house on the outskirts of Rottach and Bob Marley spent time in the specialist cancer hospital in the town.

Hope he does well. We walked the league with some wonderful football in that championship season. Won the league at Ewood. Nobody can take those memories away from us.
Last season was awful, (thankfully ive erased all memories of the season) and it was probably a good time for him to leave.
I think he'll do well with a good group of players.

I can't despise him for what he did for us in his first season, that said what's coming out about him now I don't really have any time for him. If he lost his job and managed back in England would I want him back...no,if he managed an opposing team would I boo him ...no.

I expect Kompany will win the Bundesliga, not sure how well they’ll do in the Champions League though.
His system is a good one, it’ll work very well with the quality of players he’ll now have at his disposal.

The match was played in Seoul.
Tottenham will play Bayern again on Saturday 10 August at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium kickoff 5.30 pm. Probably all part of the Harry Kane deal who didn’t play in the match today.

Allied with Xabi Alonso's brilliance, Leverkusen have so far managed to resist all suitors for their stars and they've spent almost 60m on 3 players for reinforcements which is a big outlay for them.
The gaffer really has been backed there and rightly so.
Dortmund have jettisoned some dead wood and have made some smart purchases, in particular Serhou Guirassy so theyre gonna fancy themselves too.
Gonna be a tough do for old Bayern, will be good watch for the neutrals.

I have a hearty dislike for Bayern whoever their manager is. A club with a history of player power (Kaiser Franz ruled the roost there) and huge media and fan expectation. Germany's Manchester United except they usually win the league each season.

'Bout time Bayern got knocked off their domestic throne and there's some competition there in Germany. Even better if VK continues the poor form and they have a stinking season. His true colours really showed up last season and was working for HIMSELF and HIS FUTURE rather than ours; an intelligent bloke nonetheless knowing that it's now all about STYLE and BEING A NAME in football rather than results.

Fake news. Your lying again.
Spurs were missing Udogie, Van de Ven, Romero, Richarlison, Bissouma(sub), Bentancur, Lo Celso.
Missing three of their best defenders yet full strength

Bayern got gifted both goals and looked sloppy at the back.

Half of those players you mentioned either weren’t missing or don’t start games regularly. Son, Kulucevski, Johnson, Maddison, Porro, Vicario, Dragusin, Sarr all started. New signing Gray in there too. Spurs missing a couple at the back I’ll give you that.
Bayern absolutely tore them apart especially in that first half, it should’ve been a cricket score. No Kane, Musiala, Coman, Sane or Olise for Bayern in attack.

No Olise???? He hasn't even completed a training session at Bayern yet has he.
So missing there three most important defenders doesn't mean anything?
Missing there best two midfielders means nothing?
God you don't half talk some rubbish with you Vinnie love in your worse than Alan Pace.
Possession was 49-51 and spurs had 11 attempts not exactly torn apart stuff is it, get a grip.

Put your wee tadger away and stop stroking it at the mere sight and sound of Kompany.
Meaningless friendly 2-1 victory. What’s to get excited about? Wait until the real games start and they face some real adversity. We already know that he is a glass cannon.
