Out of the Blue

So, usually when a new manager/coach comes into a club there is usually an overlooked or young player who comes out of the blue and is all of a sudden in the first team mix. If this happens with Parker who will that player be?
Could Noah Massengo, CJ Egan-Riley, or Luke McNally push for a role? Any of the younger players possibly? Joe Westley, Charlie Casper, or Owen Dodgson?

By all accounts he showed flashes at end end of 22/23 season in training, even joined in on the promotion open top bus. Then had a bad injury.
My mate at the open training yesterday said he looked very nippy

Could Enoch Agyei be our new Nathan Tella? We could have some blistering pace up front if Koleosho, Odobert and Agyei all stick around. Great options.

I could see CJ Egan-Riley having quite a bit of game time this season.

Who do you see him displacing? Playing RB I assume?

Hasn't he gone to Huddersfield already?

Have you made up the bit where this "usually" happens?
I don't follow other clubs closely enough to comment but I don't recall this happening with Dyche, or Howe or Laws before him. Costelloe started the season under Kompany but quickly disappeared.

Since 2012 when there has been a manager change for clubs in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 on average 47% of the time the new manager identifies a previously overlooked young player and brings them into the first time. Of that group 81% of the time those players don't last more than 3 games in the first team and drop back into obscurity.
26% of the time the new manager turns around one of the out of favour and struggling senior players and gets them performing well and into the first team. 82% of the time those players continue to do well and become key first team players

82.5% of statistics are made up.

If only the OP had provided some useful statistics to support this claim rather than the annoyingly vague "usually".

Aygei seems to be appearing in a few of the club's social media posts. May be a sign that he's in and around the first team.
My guess is that Agyei and Massengo will be those that come out of the blue.
Although as stated above you could argue that Benson meets the criteria.

I'd say Benson and Zaroury both do given their lack of opportunities last season. Then there are potentially emerging young players too which would include Agyei and also potentially Hugill and Richardson. There's also Bauress who, like Agyei, didn't play last season through unreported (ACL) injuries.

Thought Massengo looked very mobile too. Definitely won't look out of place when we need him.

Hi Hanoverusaclaret,
I hope you're doing okay.

TBH I don't really take it that seriously. I went to high school in Blackburn in the 80's. I have very thick skin

I appreciate the support however! Cheers
