Few pains in the arse there from a foreign fan perspective lol.
I'll struggle to get to the airport for the usual Sunday evening flight back after a 3pm Sunday KO

I'd like to think i only mention it when relevant to the point im making.
It does amuse me that it somehow puts some people's backs up. I wonder if they are the types to buy those tragic "Born in Burnley, Live in Burnley, Die in Burnley" pin badges?

Ridiculous. Outside of fans of the 2 teams, who is going to be watching all these games? Viewing figures will be tiny. Can't see how any of this benefits anyone, including sky.

Plus a Sunday at Millwall and a Saturday dinner time start at Bristol City which will be a crack of dawn set off!

Putting a positive spin on things we still seem to have a lot of Saturday 3pm kick offs which is certainly a relief. Not great for the diehards but live away games at Millwall, Bristol and Norwich will save the rest of us some cash!

Just for anyone looking at the changes I'd look at Tonys article on Up The Clarets before the Offical site, The list is a lot clearer especially with the games that are moved but not on tv

Doesn’t get my back up, it’s now become a standing joke.
I’m definitely in the “Live in Burnley, Die in Burnley” camp, you know, what with my username and all…..

Especially the 12.30 Saturday games where three Championship games are now being played every week with a PL game televised at the same time.
No idea how it stacks up for Sky. The clubs will have just seen the extra £2-3 million.

Was hoping Millwall away wouldn't get moved, but i suppose Sunday 3pm is better than Saturday lunchtime. Boro over Xmas is another good away day that they've messed up.

I presume that any unmoved fixtures on Saturdays will be 3pm kick offs? Our home midweek games (not on TV) will be 19:45 kick offs?

I believe all midweek games are on TV. But most will still kick-off as scheduled.

As far as I know, all the midweek games are on TV aren't they? I presume still on the original day and at 7.45 pm unless stated?

Thanks, I tried to make them clear and in date order - the Hull game is moved because their previous game is on the Sunday and the Swansea game is moved to Sunday because we are at West Brom on the Thursday.

Things are becoming very difficult for those of us who like to travel to away games by rail.
I was looking forward to Millwall away, but that's out now, there are no trains back on a Sunday.

Well I expect millions will tune in. We continuously get told that if they showed a 3pm kick off on TV everyone in the country would watch. Die hard fans of lower league and non league clubs would throw their seasons tickets in the bin and would stop supporting their clubs just to watch 2 championship clubs.

Think this one will have to be the last season ticket I get. I just can’t justify paying it when I’m having to miss so many games with these kick off times.

I can’t get my head round it at all. I don’t see who can possibly benefit from all these games being shown with precious little interest.

I don’t believe that all midweek championship games are on TV. For example we play Plymouth at home on Tue Oct 1st. This does not appear to be on TV.

When the fixtures came out you used to be able to pick certain away days that you were looking forward to, or planning on making a weekend of. Now you don't bother as you just expect them to get moved to a stupid kickoff time. With the cost and so many TV games you start to wonder whats the point?

They haven’t been listed - but:
All mid-week Sky Bet EFL fixtures across the three divisions will be broadcast on Sky Sports, on a Tuesday or Wednesday night.
A minimum of two matches from the Championship will be selected to be broadcast on Sky Sports Football. Championship Clubs will play mid-week Sky Bet EFL fixtures on four occasions in this period.
All remaining matches will be available to stream via Sky Sports+.
All Sky Bet EFL fixtures on Boxing Day and New Years Day across the three divisions will be broadcast on Sky Sports or available to stream via Sky Sports+.

We got away without one in a Thursday but they played them in 2001/02 during the ITV Digital season.

Were there friday games then? We beat someone like Tranmere or Stockport on a friday night once around that time. I don't know if it was televised or because of the Liverpool or Manchester clubs playing, or it might have been a Sherpa Van trophy equivalent game I'm thinking of.

Hummm what to do without the Clarets for a weekend in Burnley .

Just been checking this, we had two at the end of the Dyche/Jackson relegation season.
Southampton at Home and Villa away were both Thursdays.

We have played at both Tranmere and Stockport on a Friday but those two clubs used to move as many Saturday games to Friday to avoid clashing with Everton/Liverpool and Man City/Man United.

Curiously on the list of Thursday games there is a 0-0 draw at Blackpool in a cup tie on Thursday 22nd August 1981.
The kick off time shows as 3pm.
Would anyone remember this game and if it did indeed kick off on a Thursday afternoon?
