Thought it'd be worth creating a new thread as last weeks descended into chaos.

Hoping for a Burnley win but I think Lowerhouse will edge it.

Lowerhouse way too good for a poor Burnley team. House will bat first and probably top 300. Burnley 88 all out. Guess we just got to pray for rain

My own opinion, I think lowerhouse have 5 of the best players in the league, I'd back us to win, but Burnley have been strong for years as a team and can dig out wins
Gutted I'm missing it as I'm away but I'll have a stream.

No point wearing masks when they’re no home fans to catch it.

The best batting lineup against what I consider the best all round bowling attack (but we have the best bowler too). All will depend on how the Lowerhouse innings goes especially if we bat first. I think we will because I think CPCC would put us into bat anyway with having faith in their own bowlers. Whoever gets the better of that battle will win the game.
We've lost one game since week 4 of the season (Rochdale away in a strange game)..oh and a T20 against Clitheroe which was all but won until a nightmare over swung it Clitheroes way.
I'd have Lowerhouse as slight favourites on form although CPCC have picked up again after their iffy few weeks..but I would say that.
Other predictions....
Lowerhouse to have more supporters there than CPCC...and the CPCC groundsman to hurl insults at female Lowerhouse fans again. Classy guy.

One club has to put more effort in to get the revenues they do. The other has to open a gate and put a few bar staff on 23 times a season.

Lowerhouse certainly do plenty for charity. I'm sure the bar staff get paid too. You should go and see for yourself, you might remember what a decent local cricket attendance looks like

I'm sure you all work hard for it, as do Burnley CC on football matchdays.

Away to Lowerhouse is probably the only game that most CPCC fans turn up to. Always more in attendance than at their home fixture. Really bizarre bunch.

Whoever wins or loses, and of course I’d prefer a Burnley win, I just hope it’s a good day weather wise and the two teams can get a full game in.

If it was based on attendances then I reckon the richest would be playing the poorest this weekend

As a longstanding supporter Tony you must be scratching your head as to where everyone is at the BooHoo. Must be dispiriting to see and especially so when they have a good team to watch?

I know you like to mock them but they do a very good job in welcoming away fans and are a very big plus on how they view away days to the town.
I would class that as community based.

Sure, but that would be as relevant to the discussion as how well Lowerhouse do at hiring out their facilities for Birthdays, christenings etc and their Bonfire. Its either a cricket debate or it isnt

That's football and it's their only revenue stream so it's very much a business thing not community intended..although it is loosely a by product of what they do.

There has been a mix up, nothing malicious.
