Only managed 1150 games of professional football, most of which came at the highest level of the game with a 42.52% win percentage... but what does Moyes know, eh?

Moyes would have been the perfect fit at Turf Moor.....but happy to give Parker the opportunity.

No agenda there, just stated a (very) successful manager's record, which suggests that he may have an inkling as to why Vincent Kompany's approach might not have been the best for Burnley Football Club.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
It's quite obvious that the thread was started to have a go at Kompany and the stick to beat him with this time is an interview with a 61 year old out of work ex football manager.
Vincent Kompany is highly regarded within football circles as an intelligent, progressive young football coach, David Moyes isn't.

Well no, 61 isn't what you would call young but surely you're not suggesting that a man of Moyes experience isn't highly regarded?

I couldn't give two hoots about football circles (not to mention, I'm pretty certain that David Moyes is also pretty highly regarded within them).
Do you think Kompany will make it to 1150 games managed and a 26 year career in (top level) football management? - because there isn't many that do.
Going off Kompany's first crack of the whip, where he failed spectacularly, then I'm not confident.

He certainly isn't 'highly regarded' as an 'intelligent, progressive young football coach' which is what I inferred to.

That's not true I don't think he had a interview or anything he ruled himself out & wanted a break after West ham so wasn't even in contention.

Moyes states in his interview we Simon Jordan that he has had a couple of conversations this summer but no more than that and didn't refuse any offers as none were made.
Would have thought the likes of ourselves and Leicester etc may have had the conversations.

Moyes was never given any time at all at Utd.
A very experienced and capable manager.
Big mistake by Fergie not bringing him in as his no 2 after recommending him to the board as his successor. No natural transition at all.
Anyways I'd have loved Moyes at Turf Moor cos I live in Lytham, see him walking in the town a lot, and maybe could have blagged a lift off him on match days! Oh well.

He didn't really have a big enough name or reputation for united they was on his back from day 1 & in the main they'd already made their mind up about him before he even started. He's a likable bloke is moyes he doesn't try to bullsh1t his way through things & generally calls things fairly.

But that 23 undefeated Dyche team would have **** housed one in in the 93rd minute.

It does make two very valid points though.
1. Vincent Kompany hung Burnley Football Club out to dry last season
2. Despite this, the brand of Vincent Kompany was protected

David Moyes is a very highly regarded experienced manager, who has earned his spurs, several times.
Vincent Kompany was always promoting Vincent Kompany, to the obvious detriment of BFC.
The thread was started as a wise, experienced manager, had a view about our club.

I don't think I've ever seen anything remotely sensible written in a youtube comment in my life, so I'd be surprised if there's anything deep and meaningful to be found on that video.

I would value the opinions of supporters whose teams he has managed rather than the people's view on here.
