Top man. Never spoke English before but in 8 months can comfortably hold a conversation and answer questions also with humour. Seems a really good man. Hope he stays with us, as he is a fabulous player with alot of talent. Go on Maxime!!!!

Comes across really well. For such a young lad too. Seems like he's up for the fight this season. Speaks as though he'll be here at the end of the window, which I'd be very happy with.

Really enjoyed that, what a fantastic young man, I sense there is a happy atmosphere again.
He's right about the weather as well.

I saw him play at Palace in one of his first games , playing against Mateta who is a very, very good physical front man, and he was probably our best player. I am certain in the January window there will be a lot of clubs after him. Thought he was superb the other night v Luton

Seems a sound lad. Too good for the Championship but then we have three or four who you could probably say that about.

Great player and comes across really well. I would be very happy if I could learn French as well as he has learnt English in less than a year!

Great interview and exactly what we need to build the connection between players and supporters.

He’s right about not many teams winning at Luton this season, we’re the only ones!

I listened to his first interview, upon signing, last night.

Maxime will have studied English for at least five years. But he probably did the first interview in French because he didn't feel comfortable in English.

That said, he's obviously learning. He'll be doing well to understand Dara's accent. :)

Good to see him staying, presume the “ big interest” his agent was touting has petered out , or never existed . He looks a decent player and should be strong at this level .

Listening to interviews when he was at Montpellier, he's a very articulate lad. He will thus find it frustrating not to be able to express himself in English as he does in his mother tongue. But he'll learn very quickly.

Just hope we can hold on to him for as long as possible.

Great interview.

Love how he makes the joke about the fans calling him Steve

Keeping him & O’Shea looks more imperative by the day to our hopes of going up. He’s a rolls Royce at this level.

Esteve was giving instruction on the pitch in his first ever appearance for us- I loved that.

He's a guy well beyond his years.
