I think there's a lot of people who've gone into a frenzied panic tonight. I might be wrong but in reality I don't think our starting 11 will change much. Maybe the bench will a little.

Looking at it, it really does seem to pick itself with what we have left, however Vitinho is apparently also off. And Trafford to Newcastle, so Hladky in.

Replace JRod with Amdouni as Foster needs some genuine support up front and we need to take our chances.

At this level that team should be enough although I must admit to deliberating with Brownhill moving forward and Massengo teaming with Cullen in the middle.

The one major positive from our current situation is that players such as Massengo and Egan Riley can be involved with the first team and can see genuine route to the first eleven if they perform.

Trafford only unknown with illness or otherwise. Can't see it being too far off that

I’d play O’Shea, if he gets injured and they call off the transfer it’s no big deal to us!

The unless he throws Humphrey or Worrall straight in, he’s going to have to ask someone we’re actively trying to move on to partner Esteve.

Only because he's a left-sided defender. Although I've always been a bit sceptical about that. A professional footballer should be able to pass and tackle with both feet.

Guess it depends on what kind of preseason he’s had. Has he been featuring for their development sides? Could be a big ask if he’s not played in a game or any sort for months.

Their fans rated him highly during pre season I think. Had been playing left back though.

Ridiculous situation that from having a very strong side against Luton we are now having to play an untested defence.

He hasn’t played in any of the first team friendlies. Is it the development team friendlies he’s rated highly in?

McNally has 2 years of championship football under his belt now.
I have no issues with him playing at the back.

I deliberated and had the same thoughts as others on here that its not ideal for an outgoing player to play but in this situation we have to go with experience IMO.

Apart from being a genuine right sided centre half, McNally has nearly 100 English league appearances under his belt with 60 of them in the Championship.

We also need a replacement for O'Shea's tenacity and strength in the air in both boxes.

Worrall will do that when he comes in but until then McNally should get the nod.
