… will all this nonsense calm down?

I’ve never seen the board react to defeat like this, especially when the squad has been decimated by a virus.

On today’s performance it’s us that will get battered. The reaction will be bad.

Decimated by the board who I think are thinking they can pocket a few million quid and still go back up. They are in for a shock.

More chance of the owner getting stuck into spirits than us getting stuck into 'stards right now.

I know it’s the easy thing to say but I don’t believe they are really pocketing much. We know the club lost £30m in the last accounts and then they backed Kompany to the tune of £100m. All the outgoings are simply covering losses and cash flows as they can’t afford to fund it. It’s the disaster of a window under Kompany that’s put us here.

Are the comments as shameful as driving a once-sustainable, well-managed club into massive debt, all while hiking up ticket and concession prices, only to deliver our worst ever top-flight performance?

People can be as critical as they want to be, but no need to bring a person's looks, or religion into it
It's what little boys in the playground do, because they don't know any better.

Yes they are. Bringing a persons religion, nationality etc into the equation is out of order. And there has been an undercurrent on here ever since they took over. Once days like today happen, they bubble to the surface. I’m as angry as the next fan, and I can’t wait to see a settled side.

They also produced the best championship performance ever while signing some of the most exciting players in a generation to play for us. As for ticket prices being hiked, my dd has increased by 3 quid a month. Such drama queenary on here.

Remember Garlick out!! The club was going nowhere and the board wouldn’t back the manager etc etc and Garlick just wanted to line his own pocket?

But the squad we have left is not good enough to get promoted, they can quickly see any money invested be lost. Not like venkys who have spent millions and still stuck in the championship.

I think actions matter more than a few words to be honest with you.

Of course there's an undercurrent for all the reasons that I've stated + more. These lot have already made their money back & more.

Money has been taken out of the club and the club and it's infrastructure is now used as collateral risk free to ALK to properly have a gamble. No risk on their end, our club carries all the risk.

It has been quite obvious what the play is from the start and I'm quite frankly sick of this type of ownership and the current state of football. I'd bloody hate to be a young lad now trying to get behind a team that changes every year. Where's the magic? Unsustainable and they don't care, no matter what a bit of PR says.

Ok and concessions at the Turf? Other people's direct debits have gone up more than that and I'm talking about a broader perspective than your n=1 view.

Vastly different circumstances. He transformed the club on and off the pitch. We were mid-table Champ fodder at best until Garlick took the reins.

Shots are not important to the accountants that are running our club. Travesty of a week this is. Luton was a statement game, but today is a bigger statement

Scottie needs to get through this transfer window and take stock of what is left. Big job on his plate. Let us get behind him

You think the reaction is to the defeat or maybe the manner of the defeat or the dismantling of a squad that could get promoted leading to the putting out of an unbalanced team a bench with 2 gk and 3 kids a despondent manager in a week leading up to a game against Blackburn where it’s not impossible to believe that we’ll lose many of the players absent today and even some that were in the squad and we may now not have a team strong enough to get promoted and we in millions of debt that the sales don’t cover and even if we do buy some players we spunk 12m on young kids like we did on Trafford and Tresor
Suggesting that the owners know very little about running a football club or how to manage a leveraged buyout of one
Just a defeat

Not sure many players know the significance of next week's game. Brownhill and J Rod for sure, Vito and Foster to a degree. Most of the others.... Being an early season game, I bet Parker doesn't. Despite a short time there I think Eustace will have them fired up

Aye, when we throw on a defender up front.. change the keeper twice and take our pick from 3 academy player's to throw on.

We'll have Rovers shaking in their boots. Nevermind the squad we had going into the Luton game 12 days ago, yesterday's team was the real deal.

Rovers will never have better chance than next Saturday to beat us. Even if we sign the minimum of 4 new starters in time, it's doubtful that many or any will be chucked straight into the starting 11. Add to that Cullen being a doubt and possibly Kolo. That's if the latter is still with us. Eustace is a good manager and knows how to set teams up.

I'd take a draw now.

Pace put us here with his infatuation of Kompany and allowing him to sign players in positions that we were already overloaded in,(no left back signed) and with no real strategy of squad balance and basically targeting anyone that could be sold for more 12 months down the line.
