That win v Germany…………..
Another victim to pancreatic cancer…………..hopefully one day they’ll find a treatment but maybe, more importantly a way to diagnose early.

I'm not sure i'd have half the dignity he had during his last months after his diagnosis. He handled it like the classy fella he was.

RIP Sven. Even though it was sadly inevitable given his diagnosis it's still really sad. Svens tenure was the last time I followed England home and abroad culminating in watching England beat Paraguay in Frankfurt in the 2006 World Cup

RIP Svennis. Part of the golden era of England not winning anything yet at the same time such fond memories.
Couldn't get out of the newspapers in Sweden hence his nickname over there!

Really sad to hear this today. I saw he posted his goodbye message on X a couple of days ago. I lost my elder brother this horrible illness in March this year after being diagnosed in Feb 23.
He was a life long Claret and the reason I am also. Some of you will have known him. Andy Broadley. He is uppermost in my thoughts again today but he is every day.

Had some great times following England home and away under Sven. The 1-5 in Germany and the Beckham free kick against Greece were brilliant. Thanks for the memories, Sven. RIP.

The way he dealt with everything during his illness was incredible and said so much about him.
