What's the reasoning for rigging it for teams playing in Europe in that way? I can guess but would like to know their own reasoning.

I read it as a positive as I keep seeing loads of negative ones , perhaps its dream land but I try to see the good in what we are doing.

It'll be for scheduling reasons, so that the games don't clash with European games.

Because there are League Cup games clashing with Champions League, Europa and Conference league games? I'd have thought games wouldn't be played during European schedules.

Yes.

League Cup thrid round dates - weeks commencing 16th and 23rd September
Champions League games on 17/18/19 September
Euopa League games on 25/26 September

If anything doesn't it make more sense for teams in Europe to play each other? Least they're on the same schedule rather than messing everyone else around.

I can't believe anybody really thinks like this! Personally, I believe we can, and I want us to, win every single game we play, even if we are playing Man City away with a team of 14 year olds as everyone else is injured or suspended (or sold ). Of course, I'm often disappointed when it doesn't go the way I had wanted.

Never watched a Burnley match wanting us to lose. That won't be any different tonight. We're certainly not favourites but stranger things have happened in football than us getting a result tonight.

The best outcome would be that we win, put in a good performance, and some of the fringe players step up and show why they were brought here in the first place.
