I am watching a burglar stealing my football club and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. I can only assume Scott Parker feels the same.

As expected when Pace took over. He's been a disaster. Say what you want about Kompany but this probably would have happened 2 years ago but for him

I hope the crowd let it be known what they think about him on Saturday. This last week has been one of the most disgraceful weeks in living memory, ripped the heart out of the club . I hope he goes away soon, parasite.

The sooner him and his gang leave the club the better.

I don’t. Not for the 90 minutes anyway. We are hugely up against it on Saturday and the players will need the vocal support of the fans not one of negativity or anger. That’ll play right into Blackburn’s hands.

His ridiculous transfers. He should have been punted before Xmas and someone brought in, in January to try and rescue the situation.

What a strange analogy.

If you don’t think that Burnley Football Club is ‘our club’ I wonder why you’re bothering on here.

He was an issue but he drove the promotion with his signings and style of play. Unfortunately Pace then lost all control and gave him free reign.

If Kompany hadn't come in I dread to think where we'd be now, going off what we are seeing at the moment, I don't think it would have been anywhere good.
Worryingly he seems to have realised that he lost that element of control and has now decided to take things into his own hands without seemingly giving the head coach much say at all.

Is the heart of our club a handful of players who've been here two or three seasons at most?

I can see why people are upset after we smashed our first two games then sold the best performers but people are talking like he's sold the Turf to Venkys.

My son who knows little of football finance has been proven right with our American owners.I defended the idea of their buyout on the grounds that Garlick and Co wanted out and Pace was the only game in town.
Now we desperately need a buyer to rescue our team from these asset strippers.

Pace has a responsibility to his investors who no doubt got on board on the promise of PL riches so he has to appease them. We’re making a big profit on some of them. I’m gutted Odobert went and probably Koleosho will go, but we have got some good players in as well. A win against Rovers, I think will change the mood.

All sales particularly Brownhill Esteve and Koleosho need stopping and our purchase of Johnson, Whittaker, Sarmiento and Cannon need speedily concluding only then will we see our board in a better light.

That would be the thing NOT to do

It would only benefit one team, and that's not Burnley

There will be time for protest, but Saturday is not one of them, unless of course you want to hand rovers any type of advantage

Nobody predicted what is happening now, including you!...

Nobody predicted that we'd sell both our best players and our fringe players...

Nobody predicted that in the 3rd game, we would be playing a weak team with a defender as a striker and with a bench with 2 goalies and kids!...

Nobody predicted that in the 4th game, we would have a young right-back on the left-wing... Or central defender at right-back or a left-sided central defender at right-center or a striker on the wing... or a right-back coming on to fill in at centre lol or more kids coming off the bench!

Only time will tell. It's just possible that we, the fans are the ones panicking and behind the scenes Alan and his buddies and SP are pretty confident they've got everything under control and we'll have an extremely competitive team in this division come Saturday and beyond. If they haven't got it under control and players sitting around all summer and then suddenly demanding moves en mass with a fortnight to go in the transfer window has totally blindsided them and they hadn't already made serious enquiries about players they thought could strengthen us, then we really could be in the poo and Parker could be one seriously disillusioned guy. We'll see!

Burley get promoted, we spend over £100M, we then get relegated and sell about £50M worth of purchases for over £100M. Haven't we just covered our outlays and have £50M worth of players still on the books?

We had so many players we wouldn't have been able to name them all in the squad. We still have 6 1st team centre backs on the books as I write this! We have to offload players, yes, even your favourites.

Too many people with a bias born out of ignorance or jealousy spouting about stuff they don't understand on this thread.

I fully agree.

Its exactly what a Rovers fan would love to do.

Start a thread being negative about our owners.

I never had control when Bob Lord was here or John Jackson and the rest that followed.

Its how it works.

Support the team and don't worry about things you can't affect.

Okay maybe after the game would be more apt. You’ve all taken it up the arse all last year willingly with your saviour Kompany, a couple of minutes at the end won’t hurt.

Two years ago, after 3 games, people were spouting about how awful the appointment of Kompany was and how we hadn't replaced players of the standards of Tarkowski, Pope, McNiel, Cornet etc following the mass exodus (for not a lot of income) and how the new players weren't up to getting us promoted. Last year was pretty similar, though it was more about how many players we were buying, or, as in the cases of Tella and Maatsen, not buying, and how these new players weren't good enough (which turned out to be the truth about the team, rather than the individuals).

People need to get a grip, we get to watch our team courtesy of the owners. They are the people with the money and who have committed at least some of that capital to buying the club (however dodgy the means of so doing). If ALK/Pace pull out where are the next owners coming from? How much money would they bring to the table and be prepared to spend to feed the desires of their customers. The money gained through the turnstiles, catering or shop is peanuts compared to the revenue gained from the League, whether that be PL or Championship, thus supporter influence is not as big a factor as it may have been pre-TV rights deals (and even then Chairman like Bob Lord didn't really care what supporters said about things).

Do I like the transfer dealings of this window, not really, but, whatever the team that is put out there, I am prepared, as always, to support the club that has been part of my life for 60 odd years! Especially against the horse botherers!!!!

The past couple of weeks at our beloved football club have certainly been interesting to say the least…..the sheer amount of transfer activity in such a short space of time is pretty much unprecedented accounting for the panic and bewilderment amongst many of us . However the one thing that sticks out for me and gives me optimism for the future is the way Scott Parker has conducted himself during this turmoil .His calm and considered nature as been a real positive and bodes well for the future in my opinion.

I can understand the feeling, however...

We signed too many players last season, and look to be selling too many this season. Therefore, not really in a worse position.
We signed young players with a view to selling on. We are doing that.
Outside of players, which assets have they sold? I feel like I could be missing something they have sold other than players.

We are selling best players. Some... the rating of players seemed to go through the roof over summer, there are a number who weren't up to it last season. O'Shea apparently turned into the saviour despite not being able to concentrate for 90 mins. Amdouni spent last season hiding or falling over. I'll give you Berge and Odobert (but £20-30mil each).

Last season it was running the club into the ground financially. Am I right in thinking we may be debt free now?

We don't know what the team, looks like. I think tomorrow, when we do, we might all be okay.

Saturday's result will be bigger than the result. I'm wary of it getting toxic, but confident that all will be well in the world if we get a comfortable result.

I'm nervous, but not panicking.

We've lost players we'd never heard of last season.

I feel the opposite.

I think Pace and Williams have played a blinder. Getting rid of the majority of the bone idle donkeys who made last season the worst in our history- with virtually every transfer making a profit.

He’s also made a good appointment in Parker, and with the money in the bank we’ve got a good chance of bouncing back in the next two years.

My only concern is the timing of this B@stard match but hey ho, we’ll give it a good do with players who want to be here.

They’ve certainly ramped their balance sheet incomings that’s for sure and there’s been a couple of “ good net profit “ sales with WO/VIT/MUR/OS and decent on SB/AMD. Also Koleo if he goes. Though this has been a sizable asset strip ( much of it needed) . Though we’re not replacing like with like and you have to factor in agent fees/ previous club sell ons and crazy prem league player inflation .

Im however cautiously optimistic the 50m black hole has been plugged and , though I think there could be teething issues , beating B@stards could be absolutely huge for fans and players .
