Assume that only the squad that travelled today is available given as it stands at 10pm on Wednesday we have 38 hours left to register news signings for Saturday.

The two reasons to play JRod are he’s from Burnley and we’ve nobody else. He offers zero attacking threat and should be in League One at best.

What's left of the squad will be asked to turn up early on Saturday so that the manager can ask "Hands up anyone who can play left back " and so on. He won't be able to think about who's playing until after 11 PM on Friday.

Brownhill tucking into support the midfield. Roberts in his favoured overlapping role.
It's not great and relies a lot on Koleosho to create but it's a side that can compete.

Agree looks pretty decent. I suppose the question marks are whether koleosho is still here and what happens with Foster. Also I’m a bit lost where we are up to with Anthony. And Cullen’s injury. Oh hell I don’t know what’s what at the moment

See who’s still here and who has come in really, I’d expect another 2-3 in but think just Anthony now. What I would say is the ones who want to leave but are still here (maybe) like Koleosho, foster and Benson…. You can either put yourself in the shop window and get a move in January, or sulk and not get a move, fairly easy team talk for me.

The problem is Foster. Obviously in a big sulk last, do you want him in the side demotivated against Rovers? It's tough because jrod hasn't been at it. But with wingers either side of him I think I'd rather him. Not trying to run the channels, but being a number 9 who's always an option in the box. He's better than Foster at that. And he'll give a sh*t about beating them.

Jay Rod absolutely cannot start Saturday or again this season to be honest, he's completely gone he must know himself now he's done you can see him thinking where to be but his body just can't get him there anymore. It's tough to watch after the career he's had.

Apart from not coming over the the fans at the end he looked lively when he came on. Strong in the air, tracked backed and defended and passed some quick intelligent balls through. He didn't shy out of things.

I agree, he may have his difficulties with the club behind closed doors but I thought he was professional when he came on and gave his all

More than just Benson wants away and more than just Benson will probably not be match fit.

Who would you pick? Most of the best options feature players who haven't played much for the club or haven't yet really convinced.

Ok we'll have to agree to disagree on that one! There was one particular moment where he just didn't bother tracking his man on a corner and their fella had a free header. I can't remember him winning a single header either. He played one decent pass out to the right.

He did run, but then he's a professional footballer. His attitude at the end though is enough for me.

How many of our current players will wake up on Saturday morning knowing the importance of this fixture to the fans? I would imagine this probably applies to their lot too?
When clubs begin to lose touch with their roots,whether through ownership and then subsequently a revolving door of players, derbies like this become just another game sadly.

I think you're right. But I'm very much hoping that 'maybe' turns into an 'available'.

I'd say we play Hannibal instead in the instance that Cullen isn't available and that may well end up happening. However Hannibal was taken off very early last night, presumably for fitness reasons.

I am absolutely flabbergasted that people are picking Pires over Humphreys at left-back!... Pires started well in the first game but has gotten worse in every game and was truly dreadful when he came on last night... Humphreys looks to be as cool as a cucumber and deserves his chance after last night's performance.
