Whether she’s wise to be posting it or not, let’s not have a pile on of a relatively young lass for asking folk to be kind to people.

Absolutely not. I can’t imagine the abuse they’ve probably had on social media over the last few days!

I don’t do any social media besides looking on here
But my first thought was that must be fake
If not
She is right to suggest that people should be careful of the words they put on social media
I know that they would love moronic unrest on Saturday and then Alan can play the victim
Almost like she’s on a wind up
Start with the indefensible Wout loved Burnley then link that to her Daddy and see what occurs

I wasn’t aware that Wout had been abused. The reception he received when he came on at Luton was the exact opposite.
But I think she is very badly advised to post that.

I bet he didnt love us. If the club communicated at appropriate times. Such as confirming Wout was free to leave if we went down to protect his World Cup place, given a pre existing agreement then folk would have perhaps understood, well most would. Instead they enabled it to get out of control and Wout never recovered from those views he was a deserter.
Absolute ignorance at times from our owners relating to fans. Nobody is expecting weekly memos but an awareness of what is actually happening would be nice occasionally.
I've never been abusive to anyone linked to Burnley, player or otherwise. That doesn't mean people can't be extremely critical at times if things aren't as you would like to see them, they're so naive with some of the stuff they put out there and criticism is part of playing football, or if you're someone that likes to take loans out to be a custodian. I accept her view that people go too far and make it personal and there is no need for that.
If you dont want criticism, do better.

Would any club reveal contractual details really? The reaction to Weghorst has been overblown (especially initially) but yes, ill advised to post.

Most of the players who have been abused online have not been abused at the games, fortunately.
It shows what sort of people doing the abusing are.

Generally no, I don't want to know about contracts, nor do I expect to. However, they could easily have diffused that particular situation stating yes we agreed to it. Probably wasn't contractual anyway, gentleman's agreement sounds more likely in that instance.

She’s right. I can think of several players and a certain set piece coach who get lots of grief on here and social media. It’s fine saying people should have a thick skin and brush it off but it surely must affect them if they see it or hear about it.
It would me.

Alan’s not the victim
He’s gambling with a 142 year old football club that is loved by its town and its supporters wherever they may roam
And he’s doing it primarily in the hope of personal profit and then the prestige that may bring

I agree with the sentiment to some extent, but she’s as naive as her dad posting that.
And there’s no way on earth Weghorst loved Burnley.

She doesn't care, her and her husband have cosy jobs at the club and all these millions Pace is making is just her inheritance, she'll be loving it.

I agree with the sentiment. I don't agree with making stuff up to score sympathy points. Wout did not love the club and that's okay.
The concern here is that this is the second post that shows disdain towards fans- the first was Russel Ball's, this one is from within Alans family. That's not the kind of attitude I want to see, I'd much rather see them hear and see that there are some valid concerns and act on them- rather than tell everyone to shut up and be kind.

Im flabbergasted.
To suggest that wout loved the club is one thing.
To suggest Alan Pace. Business man. Who has plunged the club I love into debt.
Needs a kind word off me.
He can have one when the clubs functioning soundly again.

Cant knock her for wanting to defend her dad and suggest that people need to be more careful about how much personal abuse they use on social media but there's little evidence that Wout "loved the club". (No idea if is is or isnt "an incredible person" though).

Very Devils advocate though
Why not just make the point about her Dad
Use a subject that will get the backs up of many and then relate it to her dad
