Came across this on twitter, I assume they are a member of the FAB. Thought the openness was good and others may be interested

poor set of questions, some of that stuff doesn't need to be publicly answered in my opinion, but then i'm not part of Tracy island.

Anyone who thinks those questions will be answered are living in cloud cuckoo land
Next thing is the board members will be crying that they don't feel the club take them seriously, and feel ignored.

Comes as no shock to see her name on the FAB list.
I take it she was elected as spokesperson not just self appointed. These questions are why things like this are pointless.

Natalie is a member of the FAB, she has largely stayed away from discussing openly what goes on in the FAB up to now. I don’t think she believes that all the questions will be answered but that it is important that the questions are asked. Good for Her

twitter is a cesspool isnt it, just had a look at the comments and its a mixture of simping and other daft questions about Connection to Alan Pace.
Games gone.
whats wrong with having a moan in the pub then getting behind the team come kick off.

the problem is originally the members used it as some willy waving secret club that nobody was allowed to talk about, or know what was discussed. it seems to have softened recently with some minutes and leaks coming out.
they've made a rod for their own backs.
just look at that set of questions for godsake, i'd not be surprised if they were told to just stop talking.

It’s always been like that with previous groups for as long as I can remember.

If they strip out all the club internal stuff that's nothing to do with "the fans" then there's a decent question in there about connection between the players and supporters which is going to be difficult if we turn over so many players each window / summer.

the connection wasn't there last year, cos they were crap. Good performances = happy fans. as much as people were disgruntled at the performances, they are still there, they came back this year.
it could be a team of 11 Octopuses out there, if they won every game the place would be rocking.
people looking for a deeper meaning ain't going to find one.

Yeah, nobody had any trouble connecting with Muric, Benson, Zaroury and Beyer the season before, or THB, Tella or Maatsen who were only ever on loan.

I have no real opinion on the FAB but they're certainly a lot more transparent than the fan/club discussions that took place before they existed.

There's a difference between atmosphere and connection but I take your point that there's less to complain about if we're winning. Either way, I can't see Alan discussing the inner workings of the dressing room to the fans advisory board but I would like to know if they see 20-player windows as the norm.

As much as anything it's the choice of wording. Alan is going to have to be in a really good mood to engage if he's hit with fire sale, exodus, player unrest, bust ups, refusal to play, irreparable toxicity, extortionate and ripped off.

Somewhere within there, there could be some valid questions, though if they are put forward in that way, it’ll likely be a very short meeting.
I’m sure that each of us would like to have answers to the questions as they are, but in reality, that’s blatantly not going to happen.
Should the FAB not be framing the questions to ensure that they are more appropriate and more likely to garner a response outside of ‘none of your business’?
I’d hope that those on the FAB are not simply arriving with a list of whinges and are actually offering potential solutions / alternatives.
The idea of having FAB’s is great in principle. In practice, if it’s merely a box ticking exercise for the club and an opportunity to have a moan / feel like a super fan for those attending, it’s all a bit pointless.
I have no clue who is on the FAB or what their backgrounds are. I’d hope that at least some have a bit of something about them to be able to properly represent the voice of fans - although if it is just a box ticking exercise, why would anyone worth their salt give it the time of day!?

I know most of the FAB have been selected based on how prominent they are on Twitter, but are they only collecting questions to ask from the cesspool that is Twitter?
Some right ******* oddballs on the “twitterclarets” hashtag.

If someone actually thinks it's appropriate for them as a fans group, and more importantly think they'd get answers, then they have seriously out grown their boots, and think that they are far more important than they really are.
One thing to bear in mind is that that the person posting it on X, has a habit of thinking she speaks for all fans, and it could be she doesn't speak for all members of FAB.

You would hope that one of them had a modicum of intelligence to allow them to frame a question on our finances and the player sales this summer without using terms like fire sale, asset stripping etc.
There is already information about our finances in the public domain so asking questions around whether the proceeds from the sale of players has repaid or reduced our debt burden should not be too controversial either.
There are also legitimate questions that need to be asked about the season ticket fiasco - maybe don’t use the world fiasco or clusterf-uck !!
Tbh if both these topics are not discussed or AP refuses to discuss these there’s only one other question I’d be asking - and that’s “what exactly is the point of FAB Alan ?’

The FAB is just a weird group. They have no accountability and think they somehow represent all fans.
I do almost feel a bit bad for them with how the club forces the non-disclosure agreement, but don't join the FAB if you don't like it. The abuse they get online is out of order as well.

Has there ever been a write up of an FAB meeting?
There’s little point in asking for questions if the FAB can’t share the answers.

Delete the first section and other than an odd line here or there it's about what I'd expect the FAB to be about.
The large first section is a nonsense.

Let me have a go at guessing the responses...
Q - Whats happened between first 2 games and Sunderland game?
A - We were in the middle of a transfer window. Lots of complexity and people involved and as confirmed by the manager, it has been a period we have had to navigate but as you will have seen from the transfer window - We are in a good position for Scott to progress in the season.
Q - To what extent is the club financially viable?
A - Of course we spent a lot of money supporting Vinnie and he is no longer here and we were relegated. We are committed to the town, the club for the long term. I will refer you to my notes ahead of the Blackburn game. I am all in with Burnley and I want us to be a successful club in the long term.
We of course have to consider finances when relegated and players contracts protect us together with parachute payments but there is no concerns about the the ongoing concern of the club and you should not be worried. I and the board are fully behind Scott as shown with the money we have reinvested into the squad again this year.
Q - Was it a fire sale to reduce worrying debt?
A - As I have said, there are no concerns re the finances. A fire sale would indicate that we have let players go cheaply. Whilst I will not disclose details of the figures we have achieved, I can assure you that we achieved what we only let players go for a value that we felt was fair and in line with the market for the quality of player they are. We have made profit on sales etc. and it's always been the reality that we would have to reduce the squad size and i am happy with the progress we have made with that. We still have maintained a number of our key players like Foster, Koleosho, Trafford etc.
Q - Is it not linked to PSR?
A - Of course we have to be mindful of that and that would be part of our consideration but transfer windows are complex times with players, agents and clubs all trying to get what is right for them so I wouldn't whilst PSR is something all clubs have to be mindful of, it wasn't one thing that has driven the activity over this window.
Q - Did we simply give VK too much money to overspend?
A - We invested and supported Vinnie in a way that many managers would like to be supported and I think fans appreciate that but its a simple fact that we have learned a lot since becoming owners and will continue to learn. We have a new manager, Vinnie is gone and I believe we have done what we needed to make sure that Scott gets the same support from us so he can help us all get to where we want, which is back in the Premier League.
Q - Is the club up for sale?
A - No - As I have said already in my previous answers and the message I put out about the transfer window. I have the club, town and team in my heart and the board and I see this as a long term commitment.
I could go on but all the questions are complete rubbish that are easily answered and are just pointless. They aren't going to say anything that has the potential to create more news stories and gossip and discussion. I am sure Alan and the board are fully confident that after a turbulent summer and transfer window, where we are with the team and the manager is that we are in a good place.
He will maintain his desire to be part of the club for a long time and the commitment he, and the board have.
All of the questions aim to do is keep fans off the FAB back in my opinion. I also get the impression that the questions have been massively over complicated with lines of questions which are probably all going to be answered with the same politicians response.
Don't ask him questions that he can simply refer you to a statement he has already made.

It's not how I'd have phrased it but they're a fan advisory board, not a bunch of accountants, and it's couched in terms that plenty of fans have been using in the past few weeks.
I suspect more people would have complained if they hadn't asked about the past few weeks so they're on a bit of a hiding to nothing.
I don't think the answers will be particularly illuminating but it's better to ask than not ask. I'd say it is phrased fairly respectfully, if Pace takes offence at that he'd have to be particularly thin skinned.

They are questions taken from a list that fellow fans sent her on twitter I assume that they will be re worded. None of the FAB members believe that they represent the whole fa base but they are a group of fans selected by the club from a list of applicants and is supposed to represent a wide spectrum of the fan base.

What’s more disturbing is how much praise Pace is getting for selling the whole team every year like it’s some feather in his cap to make profits above everything else. Some fans can be weird, getting a hard on for players being sold at a profit when that money disappears into the black hole that’s there. We are likely to go nowhere while that happens.
I don’t think we’ll be challenging for European football anytime soon, if only Garlick had speculated before the European season , it could have catapulted us into the big time and ALK would never have happened, damn shame.

AP has said he doesn’t want the amount of player movement we had in this window. He wants to build. He’ll have learned a lot from the way they signed players under VK.
