Hannibal Brownhill Cullen Koleosho

Call it 4411 or 4231. Tough on Anthony, but I suspect that for an away game at Leeds, whilst Worrall in particular is getting minutes in his legs to get sharp, and the new units generally are getting to know each other, I suspect we need to start by having plenty of energy on the counter attack to allow us to sit deep at times and counter punch. Cullen Brownhill are an established unit, Hannibal can play the sort of role Vitinho played at Luton and will press well, and Flemming can both provide support to Foster (particularly with his back to goal) and also supplement the midfield if we're under pressure.

They were both injured but are expected to return for this Saturday's match. Given our injury recovery history though, I won't believe it until I see them announced in the line-up!

On the Friday we signed him Millwall fans reckoned he would have been involved in their squad that weekend after injury, presuming he has not suffered a setback over the break then he should be good to go for Saturday.

Roberts——Worrall————-Esteve———Humphreys

Koleosho—————-Brownhill—————Anthony

I like Pires but I’d go slightly more conservative at the back with this game due to James pace. Humphreys looked decent against Wolves I felt. Hannibal gets the nod from the start, but I’d look to bring Flemming on for him and push Brownhill deeper if we are struggling to get Foster through.
(Obviously all predicated on fitness of Esteve, Cullen and Flemming).

Can’t believe people are suggesting Fleming won’t start.
Surely one of the first names on the team sheet.
Il be very very surprised if it’s not what the OP was put.

He’s played 45 minutes in pre season and that’s literally it?
I’d be astonished if he’s fit enough to start let alone in a game like this one.

Was supposed to start for Millwall the weekend we signed him.
Two weeks of training. Not expecting fitness to be an issue

One thing training and another thing making your first match appearance of the season in a high intensity game. It seems far more sensible to play Hannibal from the start and bring Flemming on surely?

Personally think it’s more likely Hannibal plays alongside Brownhill with Flemming starting in the ten.
If he has to come off after 60 mins so be it.

If Cullen or Esteve still injured replace with Laurent & Humphries.

I don’t see Hannibal and Brownhill complimenting each other much as a 2. Both box to box, like to press high and a bit untidy with the ball. A more natural Cullen replacement (if not fit) seems to be Laurent. I’m confident Hannibal will start this one for his tenacity alongside Foster. Flemming, Sarmiento and potentially Tresòr look like real options from the bench.

Whilst it's tough to get him in, can't believe so many are over looking Sarmiento. Great problems to have I guess.

That's the line up I would go with assuming everyone is fit
Humphreys and Laurent as options to protect a lead/point - Flemming and Sermiento if we are chasing a goal
Expect at least one of Agyei or Tresor to be on the bench

Assuming Roberts hurt tonight then
Trafford
Humphreys Worrall Esteve Pires
Brownhill Laurent Hannibal
Koleosho Foster Jordan
Hopefully Esteve is fit, otherwise sadly Egan Riley in defence (RB) and Humphreys to partner Worrall.

Egan-Riley, Worrall, Humphreys, Pires,
Hannibal, Laurent,
Koleosho, Brownhill, Anthony,
Foster

I really think Laurent will start on Saturday, big, strong, physical presence. Decent passer too.
Fleming off the bench along with the beginning of the long awaited Tresorection.

Get Hannibal to run himself into the ground for 60 mins, then bring Flemming on if fit for an attacking option. Brownhill could come in for Cullen if he isn’t fit enough to start. Then if Foster isn’t working, Flemming up top with Sarmiento in the 10.

He's been back in South America playing for Ecuador hasn't he? Might not land back until late Wednesday/Thursday morning.

Hannibal was known as a "firey" element at Birmingham. Whilst we want players who are not going to tart around, we know refs give cards for fun. I suspect he won't play 90 minutes too often despite his ability. Flemming is a very different player I believe. The main thing is SP has quite a few options.

This is why we really should've kept Vitinho -
He could have easily slotted in at right back or gone to a back three and had him at right wing back.
