Excellent. Absolutely made up with this.

It's excellent. He had two years still to run on the previous deal but this could be a further four years. Good to hear the comments on how things are under the new manager too.

Great news, sounds very promising about Parker too I'm not sure he was anybody's first choice but I think he's starting to win everyone over and is giving off a very good feeling at the moment.

Parker has clearly given the place the big lift it needed

I know Cullen still had two years but while updating the squad list to reflect his new deal I looked at who was now in their last year at Burnley - currently just

CJ Egan-Riley
Josh Brownhill
Jay Rodriguez
Connor Roberts

Cullen is a top pro, great player and properly gets the club.

At £2.5m you could argue he was Kompany’s best £ for £ signing.

Happy about this and his comments on Parker bode well.

It is good and good to see a player who is committed to the club after all the unrest during the transfer window. His comments, especially 'like a breath of fresh air' speaks volumes.

Great news.

He’s a pivotal player for us.

So pleased about Josh's commitment to the club and the positive comments about Scott Parker.

This is the sort of stability we need. Too many players coming and going. Josh has done really well for us and is one of the players we need to keep and build the team around.

And also good news that he’s closing in on fitness

And given that Josh was assumed to be a key Kompany man when he signed that comment really does speak volumes to me!

Great news on the extension. We need him fit and back asap.

Brownhill will be a hot property on a free next summer I’d imagine, but contrary to rumours around Everton, Wolves, West Ham etc over the last year or so I truly think that Burnley as a Premier League club is his limit (not a dig at him).

Unless he gets a bumper offer from Saudi or something, I reckon he’d re-sign if we get promoted.

Trencher, good description.

I reckon that if Pace took anything away from what Checketts rightly said in MTB2, it was the “Who are our guys?” bit. Cullen has to be one of those that we build our team around for the next 3 years for sure.

Happy with this news.

This is excellent news simply because it stops in it's tracks the 'here you are, there you go' impression, which has been created in the Kompany years.

That statement speaks volumes not only about Kompany, but especially about Parker, I also think it's a rallying cry to the fans who weren't fully on board or had doubts about Scott Parker.

I hope he’s fit enough to start at Leeds. We’ll need him there.

Definitely, I liked the way he came.out trying to get the crowd going as well before the derby game. None of the over the top stuff like Eustace tapping his chest like he'd been a life long fan.
I've also noticed he's out pre match in amongst the players during the warm ups, don't recall ever seeing VK pre match on the pitch.

Kompany’s championship team that ended the season or Kompany’s championship team that took 5 points from the first four games?

Either way, it’s a bit of a strange thing to say at this stage of the season when you are well aware of what’s has just happened over the last two weeks of the transfer window.

4-1 away at Luton
5-0 at home to Cardiff then had the squad ripped apart.
Early season with VK in charge wasn't good at all, that's how deluded you are about him.

I'd also argue Parkers Fulham and Bournemouth of the championship would have destroyed VK's early season Burnley too.

Parker has done that every game, I can't recall any other Burnley manager ever having done that. It's something Moyes, I think, has always done, and Klopp too.

He said it because the whole place was toxic with Kompany. He had all but destroyed the place. It's debatable who still loves Kompany the most, you or Pace, but you need to move on. He'd no interest in Burnley FC at all and we are better off rid of him.

I’d be willing to hazard a guess that it’s Kompany that loves Kompany the most.
