Should be an interesting fight this one. Dubois is young and hungry and I fancy him to stop AJ .
Good undercard and Liam Gallagher performing before the main event also. Wembley stadium 10pm ish ring walk.

McKenna's take on it.
Red top admittedly but he's way closer to the action than most journos.

Usual fare I fancy. AJ has the power to stop fighters, no question - so does Dubois, and AJ don’t like being hit.
AJ clocks him and he “should” go…. AJ clocks him and he DOESN'T go, then just watch the confidence drain out of his body leading to a Dubois win.

AJ win, not overly bothered who wins though.

The Josh Kelly Liam Smith fight would have been one to watch but Smith has pulled out. The Cacace Warrington fight is ok but the rest of the undercard isn't that appealing.
I wouldn't pay £20 just to watch Joshua Dubois and all the others will have started before back from the match on Saturdday

i think it will be a closer matchup than some here think.
Dubois is tough.
Depends which AJ shows up though really.

Worked closely with Queensbury Promotion between 2017-2023 and seen the rise of Dubois from his debut up. He’s always had unbelievable power and has blown away the majority of his opponents especially early in his career but needed to work on not leaving himself open to shots.
I’d love a Dubois win but think AJ will take care of business in rounds 6/7.
Another boxer I worked closely with is Josh Warrington and it’s great to see him on the undercard at Wembley despite him not being the boxer he was when he beat Selby and had that fantastic win against Frampton.

Will just be nice to have a bit of atmosphere at a fight night. The Saudi events may as well have been held in an empty arena.

Dubois, is still to reach his peak which is scary, cant belive hes still 26. I think he'd have been better going to the Olympics before turning Pro but he's really come on over the last few years, I just don't see him taking AJs shots like he did against Hrygovic
I liked Warrington despite his Leeds links

, but never really thought he was at that top level. I imagine he's a horrible boxer to face though with that forehead of his.

At this moment, in their career, Joshua is levels above Dubois, in every way.
Another time, maybe they will be at the crossroads.

It will depend on 2 things. How will Joshua react when he gets hit, and how will Dubois put up with Joshua’s early Power. If it goes beyond 4 or 5 rounds the. Dubois starts to become the favourite as he has a good gas tank and a lot of energy. Joshua is very low volume and tends to gas out

AJ in rounds 1 to 6 @ 2/1
Or
Dubois in rounds 7 to 12 @ 8/1

AJ weighed in at 18 stone, DD at 17st 10lb. Apparently 96,000 tickets have been sold.

On the BBC sports website they had a poll as to who wins the fight. Registered a vote for Dubois and couldn’t believe that over 70% thought AJ would win.

AJ was never in this fight after the 1st round. He rocked Dubois a few seconds before he then finished him but let's be honest, AJ never ever fulfilled that billing and hype and Dubois has got him out of that ring with 5 excellent rounds and some immense shots. Fair play to AJ for still being there in Round 5, but that has to be it for him, surely?
And I sincerely hope AJ is okay, he took some punishment but can hold his head up for staying in that ring.

I think that's the story of AJ's career. The knee Dubois took a few years ago haunted him, still might, but that was categoric.

I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch, but that's harsh. He was still there and rocked him in R5.
Then again, Nelson has been scathing post-fight and I love him to bits.

Dubois established the jab early and AJ is still mentally scarred from Usyk/Ruiz. That’s the problem with being overmatched and overhyped.

Fraud ?
Extremely harsh …. We love to knock our success stories
His record is fully of victories against the best opposition this generation has to offer
You can get caught in heavy weight boxing and for me his major weakness is he gets punch drunk off shots that lasts longer than other fighters …
But he got greedy when the tide was turning
Both fighters and any fighter that puts it on the line are far far far from frauds

I don’t think you can call any boxer a fraud, especially at that weight.

AJ must surely now retire , he’s been badly beaten up by the younger faster and hungrier fighter . It’s amazing how a talent like DD was seemingly written off pre fight , not forgetting he was incredibly unlucky vs Usyk with the “ low blow “

Agreed, somebody who gets into the ring with a very "fighting fit" 18 stone athlete isnt a fraud in my book. Sometimes overhyped/overmatched/overconfident/undertrained but not really a fraud.
