Disappointing to see Flemming left out
Disappointing to see Egan Riley starting

Lineup looks OK to me, just weak at right back, not sure Egan-Riley is up to it, but let’s give him another chance

Getting stronger on the bench. Egan-Riley will be fine.

Just that Sambo I think. Hopefully Egan-Riley won't be as exposed at full back

Glad to see Foster and Cullen back, gutted for Flemming. Think Brownhill needs a rest tbh. No Roberts or Humphreys so assuming ER on right?

Be interesting to see if Parker feels confident to switch 3 at the back at Fleming for ER later on.

The depth of squad we have is excellent, it's going to go a long way to having success in this league this season. Really looking forward to today's match with Pompey

Although it was a poor team performance, Egan-Riley was our best player at Sunderland.

He had a nightmare against Blackburn when he came on but it doesn't define him.

Come on Burnley, 3 points today please. Should be a good atmosphere with Portsmouth bringing a decent following.

Re: Egan-Riley, I think we need to give him time. He’s still very young and hasn’t had a settled job for us at all. Probably a very good footballer who I hope will prove a very useful squad member if not a first team starter.

Good to see Foster back. Would like to see him and Flemming playing together.

A midfield three of Cullen, Hannibal and Brownhill is outstanding in this league. Excited for today. Foster a lot to prove for me, competition now. Time for him to step up.

I'm surprised that Flemming has missed out, I thought he'd have been a shoe in!

No issues with Egan-Riley playing, he came into a really hard game last time out... echoing Goody's comment he was fine at Sunderland and good on Scott Parker for showing faith in him in what should be an "easier" game.

Surely shoot on sight for Will Norris?

Think we will control this game without getting out of 2nd gear. 3-0 Burnley Foster double and Flemming.

Guessing that maybe Flemming needs a bit of a rest. Last week was the first match he'd played all season so every chance he wasn't 100% but had to play sure to a lack of options.

When I looked at Egan Riley's record I was surprised by how little first team football he has played in his career, only something like 25 -30 games.

Fairly even so far.
Pompey look well organised and difficult to break down.

I don’t know who Phil Birds summariser is but he just gave us a lecture on the multi-ball system because Bird and himself totally missed what had happened earlier. The ref stopped the match and gave us a re-throw because there were 2 balls on the field.

Lacklustre display in first 25 mins. Too much careful passing back , Norris had absolutely nothing to do .

I think we need flemming here, and sacrifice Brownhill who's not been on form for a few games now

Only real chance of the game to Portsmouth.
A fairly lethargic and nondescript performance from us so far.

The three in midfield and one up top means we're getting a lot of the ball but it's extremely flat/sideways. Someone's got to to get inbetween the lines.

I'm hoping I'm going to see Anthony beat someone and put a decent ball in at some stage. Nothing to get excited about so far and that cross was dreadful.

Crowd not happy with E-R but the last 3 passes he’s received were all bad balls, 2 short and one under him that he had to take with the outside of his boot.

Great tarcking back and challenge by Anthony.

I'm OK with us being difficult to beat. We don't look like breaking teams down, though.

Hi JimmyRobbo, in fairness it was Anthony who crossed for Foster's goal against Rovers.
