Definitely a couple of hints that Josh wasn't overly happy with the crowd today..

well done, Joe Worral. After initially losing it, he kept his cool and his pass across to Josh was a beauty.

On the ITV highlights programme, the Portsmouth manager blamed the referee for wrongly giving a free kick on the half way line by the dugouts. If the ref hadn't done that, the Portsmouth man wouldn't have given the ball away 70 yards away on Burnley's left. Presumably.

Chuckled at that moment on ITV as the clip shows Egan Riley being fouled first with their manager’s whinge voiced over it.

He had a poor game imo, regularly went backwards, touch wasn't great and a few groans and rightly so at times

It's not so much a groan at wanting it pumped long, it's the slowness in which we move the ball, it seems they receive the ball, turn taking an age, look.where they're going to play it, pause then play it.

His set peices have improved though, he only hit the first man once even if they still waant dangerous.

The only reason Brownhill starts is for his knack of getting goals. He was a passenger yesterday; I wouldn't have known he were on the pitch without the goal.

Other than the defenders obviously, Brownhill had more touches of the ball than any other player, second highest number of shots, joint highest key passes, second highest number of crosses, an assist and a goal.

So what on earth did he do besides winning us the game :D

Who can blame him??
Our fans yet again were poor yesterday regarding atmosphere and getting behind the team they all moaned and groaned all game then goaded their fans once Brownhill scored and gave it the big un singing champions again oh lay oh lay.
How about not letting 2k fans out sing us for 90 mins at home?

Why is Josh Brownhill the target for complaints from some dedicated whingers?
He always puts in a shift.
He scores and creates goals.
He’s an obvious leader.
The ability of some posters to find something to moan about never ceases to amaze.
We have a new team playing in a difficult league. Not everything will go right, as SP says. But we’re third.
Get behind the team at the Turf and give them a break. You might find out that it is possible to enjoy life, rather than moaning.

Brownhill obviously felt we played alright.
Which is a little bit of a worry to me.

Yes the manager should be celebrating the resilience to come back and win. But he also needs to deal with the team not performing. If he's led the team to believe this was an acceptable performance it's a worry.

Quite disappointed with Brownhill there. Firstly, the belief that the performance was good enough. Yes, we need time to gel but that was far from good enough. Too slow, playing the game in front of their defence, not enough balls in behind to get them on the half turn (which Koleosho and Foster were screaming out for all afternoon.)

Secondly, the belief that fans should get up for it when there is nothing to be up for. The players create the atmosphere through their performance, not the other way around.

Embarrassing moaning and groaning at times yesterday

Yesterday was a perfect example of what SP and players are trying to get across to the fans ‘we are going to need the fans through the good and bad times’

Yesterday they needed our support and encouragement- the game plan is obvious - it’s not 1988 - football is past smashing it up top

Understand we lacked urgency but is moaning helping ??

Everything JB has contributed and his dedication to us since he signed I’m not surprised he’s hesitant to sign on again
