FAO Leisure
Hi Pete,
Been following your weekly efforts to get coaches - and sometimes tickets - sorted out. Volunteers like you are the backbone or "real" football, football for the fans. Always patient, alyways trying to find solutions.
Just like the thousands of people involved in coaching kids.
Without you all the game would barely exist.
Take care,
ecc

Re: FAO Leisure
Absolutely true. I have known Pete for 20 years plus, not sure he even knows me, I have travelled plenty of times with Accy Clarets but usually drive or train to away games. I spoke with him briefly at the end of the Wolves away game in league Cup a few weeks ago. I can confirm he is a top bloke and right up there amongst the very biggest of Burnley fans. The work all the people do at supporter clubs at Burnley is superb, Leisure, William, Gracie and all the others.
Cheers guys. See you at Oxford.

Re: FAO Leisure
I've never met him.
Once travalled with the SC and excellent service. For those without a car - or just alone - and given the nightmare of the trains, it's hassle-free. Take tomorrow, ground miles from the city centre.
People who run forums (thank you Tony and the mods), transport fan clubs, I salute you.

It's a fair point re Tony, DiBradio and all the MODS excellent service as usual. If you get chance to speak with Leisure do do. Great bloke almost always with a smile on his face. Good little communities. UTC.ecc wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 7:45 pmI've never met him.

He's not a bad bloke but please stop with the adulation before his head swells and stops him from getting in the ground!

Re: FAO Leisure
It's no wonder Leisure has a constant smile on his face.
As the major shareholder in J D Wetherspoon PLC he directs on a fortnightly basis three 58 seater coaches to one of his pubs to boost his profits.
Only yesterday the share price increased by 1.16% from £731.50 to £740.00 on the back of takings in Bicester and Banbury.
His own coach empire dropped him off outside his stately home yesterday evening following another successful away day.
His butler was at the gates to welcome him home, a glass of port and Match of the Day at the ready.

Re: FAO Leisure
Hi Tony - Nearly correct but one of the coaches was actually a 70 seater and my butler also had my pyjamas and slippers ready for me!tybfc wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 4:19 pmIt's no wonder Leisure has a constant smile on his face.
