A search amongst the less frequented shelves of a local supermarket has unearthed these little beauties of which I have no prior knowledge. I therefore wish to determine how many little pickled peppers are contained within this jar, and how much pickling joooooooooose they are contained within.

You are invited to join me in this quest by guessing the number of peppers, the amount of jooooooooose in grams and the weight of the empty jar (including lid) in grams. I will allocate 10 points for an exact guess in each case or 5 points for the nearest guess/es where the exact amount has not been guessed.

You have until 5pm on Tuesday to record your guesses after which point drainage will commence and no further guesses will be admitted. Results will be published shortly thereafter.

Hi BC, don’t worry if you’re not top of the leaderboard. You’ve been instrumental in keeping the food count going over the last few seasons and ensured that we can continue to harness the powers of the counting gods to deliver success in the parallel football contests. To any that might argue success has been somewhat limited in a couple of recent seasons then imagine how utterly disastrous it would have been if we had not been food counting.
