Away from the idiots online, they do have a lot more 'proper' fans than Rovers with an infinitely more realistic outlook. A lot of bitterness amongst them too though - I don't think they've quite got over Blackpool reaching the PL ahead of them.

Doesn't surprise me at all, we were coming back from a London game one season and there was a group of about 20 of them in a different carriage abusing some younger Burnley fans (especially a family of four on a table) apparently it was "banter" when some from the carriage we were in went and joined them.

What you have failed to consider here is the ineffectiveness and weakness of those involved in the management of the EFL to deal with what was a straightforward offence. Since then we have won the championship twice, qualified for Europe, won at Anfield, Old Trafford, the Emirates & Stamford Bridge.
All they have done in that time is finish between 7th-15th in the championship. In 15 years!
Add into the mix a relegation to league one.
Total mediocrity.
